We had mailmen strike last year, just before christmas. Lots of mail which usually takes few days to deliver went up to, like, three months. Imagine how much work they had with all that queued correspondence after strike ended. They "helped" themselves right.

One of my friends just talked me into going to a Carrie Underwood concert with her and a couple others this Friday night. She has an extra free ticket (good seats, Row 11) because one of her friends backed out, and she won't let me pay her back for it. It's not really my type of music, but I'll go with an open mind. 
At least Carrie's not twangy-twangy country, and she does have a great voice.
