I'm going through a bad bout of so called clinical depression right now. I don't take medi's for it, so when the 'spells' come it is a hell of a bad trip. It's these times that I really hang out with Devy's music. It doesn't last forever but it really screws with my mind. Thanx for being so honest Devy, it does alot for me at times like this. You know that song Nobody's Here? I'm so there right now.Anyone else got 'depression'? :troubles:
(P.S. Not suicidal or anything :? . I've been dealing with depression my whole life, just wondering if anyone else get like this...)

I'm sorry to learn you are both suffering. One of my brothers has had it on and off for years but he takes medication. I'm glad you both avoid that route! I feel it has made him worse in the long run. Coincidentally I watched part of a news item the other week on some hospital experiments using exercise as a means to raise endorphin levels and help lift the worst effects from some patients. They were making people go for walks or runs in parks and the countryside. It seemed reasonably successful, but every person is different. I believe it was part of a whole package of measures to help individuals find ways to deal, cope and help themselves through the 'black dog.' Trying to find a personalised route to coping with the condition. Can't be easy though. I wish I'd paid more attention to it now.

I hope the clouds lift for you soon!

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right...

Been a while since I heard that one! A happy wee tune though.

Thanx, Keeker. Well, medi's are always tempting, but the side effects are screwy. It's one thing when life is throwing you curves, it's normal to be 'down' or whatever. It's when things are good or even great, and the depression hits when you go 'what the f****?'Cause no matter what, everything just sucks for awhile.Devys' music gets me through these times. He knows what that's like.I practice martial arts as a hobby. It really helps me get centered in these times. It's wierd when you can't totally trust your brain. But then...can anyone...really? :)
P.S. I like women, too.(toe in sand)
