That error message is about the email of the notification system. Posts are fine, just those 'subscribed' to notifications don't get their emails.

Some of the threads got disappeared along with posts from various topics I'm afraid.
I thought it was odd when my post count had dropped, turns out the forums have been having some problems and the band thread was one of the unfortunate casualties.
