Hey, I had a look through all the threads, and I didn't see this posted anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find a guitar tab for Down and Under? It's one of my favourite songs off Terria and I haven't been able to find any tabs for it anywhere.

If anyone knows where to find one or would be willing to tab it, I would greatly appreciate it!

I know the main riff bit. Havn't gotten round to doing the rest yet.

Code: Select all
E-----------------------------------------------------0--------
C-----------------------------------------------------0---------
G-----------------------------------------------------0---------
C-/777-77-7777-7/999-99-9999-9/555-55-5555--454-2-20------------------
G-/777-77-7777-7/999-99-9999-9/555-55-5555--454-2-20-------------
C-/777-77-7777-7/999-99-9999-9/555-55-5555--454-2-20-------------

                                                            (NH)
E------------------------------------------------------------5--------
C------------------------------------------------------------5---------
G------------------------------------------------------------5---------
C-/777-77-7777-7/999-99-12-12-12-12-12\555-55-5555-454-2-00--
G-/777-77-7777-7/999-99-12-12-12-12-12\555-55-5555-454-2-00--
C-/777-77-7777-7/999-99-12-12-12-12-12\555-55-5555-454-2-00--

final bit of main riff is
          (pm--)
E------------------------------
C------------------------------
G------------------------------
C-454-2-00-------454-2-00--7777--------------
G-454-2-00--7-7--454-2-00--5555--------------
C-454-2-00--7-7--454-2-00-------------------------

Hope this comes out better than the Hyperdrive tab I did wrong.

Sounds good to me mate. That's how I've been playing it.

I think the fifth is not played, I don't hear it.
I play it like that :

Code: Select allE------------------------------------------------------0--------
C------------------------------------------------------0---------
G------------------------------------------------------0---------
C-5/777-77-7777-7/999-99-9999-9/555-55-5555--454-2-20------------------
G-0/000-00-0000-0/000-00-0000-0/000-00-0000--000-0-00-------------
C-5/777-77-7777-7/999-99-9999-9/555-55-5555--454-2-20-------------

But maybe it's just the octaves, without the open G string played between the notes. But I like the sound of it.

And the big sounding part around two minutes is something like this :

Code: Select allE-------------
C-------------
G-------------
C-33-10-00-10-
G-33-10-00-10-
C-33-10-00-10-

I believe he also plays the open G C and E strings while playing those octaves on the low strings.

Yeah, it's nice to begin with only low strings, and then progress with all the open strings :P

Yeah after listening a few more times then trying it myself it sounded more 'right' than my version. Hell at least I got the notes right huh!

I think my version may be played at the very beginning then as the song progresses he uses more and more strings. Also when the drums kick in properly, before the heavy bit, I do believe there is a different guitar part while the bass plays the riff highlighted above. Just one chord using the higher strings. I just fine tuned my acoustic into open-C again (I've tuned by ear for 3 years now), so I'll have a crack tonite or tomorrow.
