Just wanted to say hi to the people in the musicians forum, you guys are cooler than the rest

Anyways, I have a question for you bass players and low tuning guitarists cause I've got an 8 string being made and I'll have to get some new speakers for some sort of cab...

What are good bass cabs or speakers for higher end that would not interfere so much with my bass player's rig and eq range? And for the low tuning guitarists, what do you guys find works? I like the Meshuggah tone on Catch 33 but want to have some life in the high notes as well... man, how do I ask this without sounding retarded... ok so I'm retarded.

anyways, haven't posted here in a long time and thought to say hi to everyone and see how y'alls doing! SO for now peace out, and help!

- Billy

You're probably better off posting at the http://www.sevenstring.org forums. They have a whole section dedicated to baritone, 8, and 9 (!!) string guitars. :)

I want to see pics once you get your 8. 8 string guitars are seeexxxy.

Eh, small world! From ss.org its Waylon who introduced me to the idea, the guitar is the Halo Octavia from Halo Guitars, except it will have a flame maple top. I figured that this would also be an appropriate forum to ask because the SYL/Devy listeners here are also fans of FF, Gojira, Meshuggah etc.

And just outta curiosity, has anyone ever tried a BOSE for amplification? I don't know much about them, but apparently they sound great for listening to media, just curious about using something like that for live? ... if this is a stupid and obvious question, I call mercy haha.

P.A wise yes! bose bass bins etc., can handle anything you throw at them. They are very clear and responsive. Very expensive though. They tend to lean more towards clubs & dj's rather than live sound.

I'd just play an 8 string through a trace elliott 300w with a good eq cranked right up though.
