I am in the middle of (sort of) covering The Death of Music, and I think I'm making good progress, but when it's done I'd like someone to sing the vocals for it, because my voice is terrible and the prospect of Dev himself doing it is extremely unlikely, post here if you're willing.

The same for me. I can do most of it, but the majority of the high notes I go all over the place.

thanks, i'm not sure how it will turn out because i'm not much more than a beginner with what i'm using, and i can sympathise with the people who say they can't quite hit the vocals but if you want to try then please do.

OK, no worries. When you finish the backing track then upload it on yousendit or something so I can download it and record my vocals to fit.

I hope this one happens, people were gonna get me to sing on their Deadhead and Storm covers but they never finished them or let me know about it... This one will be fun, too. I'm looking forward to it.

You should try to put your own stamp on the song, no matter how little! That's the kind of thing that keeps me listening, direct clones are boring.

the basic layout is done, i just need to finish the strings and add some other effects, and refine the bass because it sounds a bit AWFUL. for the ticking sound you hear every four bars in the real version of the song i was just going to use the original, but it sounded bad mixed with it, luckily i found something which sounds exactly like it.
