Only £29?! This looks like it would definitely be worth looking in to! Although I have a week in London for the special shows afterwards. GAH, so much money!

Yeah, this deserves a bump.
Wonderful festival. Doubt you'll ever see Godflesh followed by Devin at any other show on the planet.
Three stages. From what I gather...
Main-Dev, Godflesh, Evile, Turisas
Second-Ulver, Decapitated, Doom (UK Crust punk, not the other Doom), Shining (Nor), Dragged into Sunlight, Alter of Plagues, A Man Called Catten (playing Medulla Nocte)
Third-God is an Astronaught, Amplifier (seriously, check out their self-titled album!), Astrohenge
Plus more to come...
No idea where Xerath with be.
The aim is for the headliners (Dev, Ulver and GIAA) to only clash by ten minutes each).

I have to go. I am going. The last I knew Godflesh had broken up? And what is this! I need to get with the times more obviously. Ulver, a beyond incredible band. Those two and I would have gone just for the epicness of two such unique bands together. DTP seals the deal.

I haven't heard of any of the other bands, last year they had a bunch of bands I kinda like but wouldn't have gone for. Any heads up which ones are really worth looking into? I'll probably try to listen to one or two songs and see who I like so I don't miss out.

Edit: I'd totally wet myself if I got to meet Broadrick or Garm :3

Yeah, Manowar are playing Leeds the night before (if you swing that way).

Bands worth listening to...
Shining (Norway)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5M3YK4YMpA0 They describe themselves as black metal/jazz. Frantic stuff.
Amplifier- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osj0y6Nm1K8 Shocked more people on here aren't into them. Prog-tacular.
Astrohenge- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShOND3jDftU Stoner-iffic
God is an Astronaught- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34C41eEpM48 Post-rock titans.
Dragged into Sunlight- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gl3dgsbOx9E Filthy black metal from the UK.
Ulver- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwSjaf3aa2M Electro/rock/trip-hop/black metal (not live)/ ambient. One of the most unique bands on the planet.
Godflesh- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwLMp7UWN_8 Dev lovingly stole one or two tracks titles from them. He's a big fan. Wouldn't be any Fear Factory or Ministry without these guy(s). Crushing industrial wonderment. The mainman used to drop acid while watching Eraser Head.
Doom- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfW7QZJDUbg Crust punk. Filthy (like a lot of things on the bill). Rare thing to see them live.
Evile- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=924bRfmiJ20 One of the finer new thrash bands out there.
Decapitated- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKjgpTis0Vo Death metal legends. Only UK show this year.
Turisas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldva3dA8yGc Battle (folk) metal. So much fun live, even if you hate the music.
Alter of Plagues- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7W5fOZJBuA Black metal from Ireland. Their latest album is pretty stunning.
Xerath- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVTkQstZvkk Prog/death. Supported Ihsahn and Anaal Nathrakh. That should be enough to make some of you listen to them.
Medulla Nocte (A Man Called Catten)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiMWAuPquw8 Super, mega, ultra rare show. Amazing frontman.
More to come...

If anyone wants links for hotels and transport, let me know.

I went ahead and listened to all the bands, then got sidelined by the Swedish Shining. Kind of.... Wish they were there instead! They sound insane.
GIAA and Altar of Plagues really gripped me, got a lot of new listening to do it seems.

Funny you say that about Broadrick doing acid watching Eraserhead, because the atmosphere in a lot of the songs reminds me of that freaking film. Silencing the Singing songs do too, mind. Lynch is brilliant, and I guess this is surrealist music? The vocal effect on Streetcleaner is beyond my ability to describe, I just tried a few times and failed... I guess the definition of hellish vocals? It was the first song by Godflesh I heard, since I found them through ISIS's cover of the same song. Then there is Frail, like the exact opposite, ethereal soft vocals. I haven't listened to Godflesh in a long time and I'd forgotten just how amazing the songs were. Can't believe I'm going to get to see Godflesh right before a DTP set O.O
