I'm using it and pretty happy with my tone but when I record my second guitar part it sounds like I'm playing in church and I don't have any reverb on. I do have a minimal chorus on to make the sound a bit more fuller but I wouldn't expect that to shine through 500% when I record the two guitar parts.

Ideas? I'll be uploading my new demos to MySpace later today if someone wants to give a listen.

id say make youre tone a bit less dense, record your bits 2-3 times and layer it, therefore you can really toy around with how you want it to come out. maybe put chorus on 1 or 2 or the tracks so it still makes it subtle but audible.

Just a mention, but personally I think Guitar Rig 2/3 has the least good distortion tone out of all the most known amp emulation programs out there. Check out Amplitube 2, it was very nice tones :) But if you want the very best tone in software, you should record DI tracks of your guitars and then add Wagner Sharp (free), Voxengo Curve EQ (80 USD or so) with VH100R's amp spectrum pack (free) and finally SIR (free) with GuitarHack's cabinet impulses. That way you get some really nice guitars without any actual amp 8)

Here:
Wagner Sharp v0.60
Voxengo Curve EQ
VH100R Spectrum Pack for Curve EQ
SIR (Impulse VST)
GuitarHack impulses

Have fun ;) It'll take a while to get the hang of it, but it pays off in the end. There's a guide on how to apply the spectrums on the VH100R link.

all of the tracks on http://www.myspace.com/blackumbrellasociety were recorded with Guitar Rig 2 except for the "EQ Test" which was done with a Pod XT

I use FLStudio 7 Producer, thanks! I'm still working on it, I just haven't had time. Thank you for the complement.
