There are loads of tagging tools out there. Most of them can guess tags from filenames, and retrieve data from freedb. That should save you a lot of work.

Or even better: get Foobar2000, a great little audio player that has lots of taggin-functionality and some really cool taggin-plugins.

Hey thanks! I ended up getting a tagger. I haven't tagged everything yet (studying for finals is a tad more important ) but it's sped things up a lot
