I promised myself I wouldn't listen to any Ghost Reveries samples before the album was released but I found myself ripping The Grand Conjurations RealAudio stream to MP3 as soon as it was online...
I didn't listen to any of the other samples tho and I did not download the album when it leaked 2 months prior to it's release. I'm so proud.

doubt it, considering devin wrote, engineered, mastered and mixed this not many ppl would have the actual finished product, i doubt any of the dtb guys would leak it out, and the only evidence left of it would be at the armory studios but they only did drums tracks their the majority of it was done at devs studio.

unless u can go to devs place and steal his computer then yea u could be in for a chance otherwise it will b hard to find it before its release date. but if u do find something, let me know i wanna listen to it badly!!

As soon as the promos are sent to magazines and stuff like that, it's out there in a matter of hours, nothing you can do about it.

I definitely will not be listening to this album until I have it in my hands, with the exception of some sort of officially released sample track (ala. Shitstorm on Alien).

Depends when it gets leaked I suppose. Say if it was leaked tomorrow (hypothetically) and it wasn't going to be out until Feburay, I would have quite a bit of trouble controlling myself. If it was leaked in January however I could probally deal with it. Eaither way I'd have the album pre-ordered from the moment I can, Dev simply isn't the same in mp3 format.

320kbps encoded right is pretty indistinguishable from cd audio. Get the Lame mp3 encoder and try:

lame --preset insane -q2 --clipdetect --nogap <names of .wav files extracted from the cd>

Of course, this does mean a 25 MB .mp3 for Earth Day :)

All of the stuff I ripped in iTunes is at 320kb/s. Any leak material (if it happens) would be much, much less.
