Hiya everyone i've been lurking for ages but decided to post something. I used to be on the Ultimate Metal Devin forums but that place died before it ever got started.

Favourite bands are Cult of Luna, Pelican, Koma, Neurosis, Arcturus, Drudkh, Quo Vadis, Borknagar, Enslaved and about a million more! :twisted:

Gday all!

thought id come over here and see what its like! i only started liking/listening to SYL and Devy for the last 3 months or so, cant believe it took me so long to do that!! its extremely cool ;)

im Troy, 20, from Victoria - Australia and its very sunny right now :)

Some peeps may remember me from past sites/mailing lists, I donno. Every time I come back to the HevyDevy site, you guys have a new hangout!! Guess I shouldn't stay away so long. :p

Just thought I'd be polite and drop a post on here before wading into the forums proper. Some places have a welcome mat to wipe your feet on before entering so this seemed as good a place as any !

Been on the Dev scene since the Vai era and nothing (no, not even Devlab) has shaken me out of the madness yet. I buy all my Dev-related goodness direct from HevyDevy (a big shout over to Geoff, Tracy et al) and haven't posted on here for maybe a year or so. Yeah, I know, disgraceful isn't it.

So, if somebody will take my jacket I'll help myself to a drink and settle in - ok ??

(Oh, and thanks to mistress2metal for pointing out this thread existed after I'd shown my newb credentials by posting this elsewhere - sheesh, not how to make a dignified entrance methinks.... :roll: )

Although I have only been a member of this forum for less than five minutes, I can help but notice the utopian state which has been achieved within these digital walls. Everyone treats one another with courtesy, which is kinda rare this day and age not to mention refreshing... Now that I have gotten that little burst of agonizingly optimistic observations out of my system, allow me to introduce myself. I am an embodiment of a rejected consciousness... An entity which seeks the next level of being... Relentless avalance of unanswered questions and dislocated logic... I am HUMAN... and I don't know what to do with my soul stirring awareness of this neverending focus on life...

I am a huge fan of SYL, Fear Factory, Mnemic... I play the guitar, ponder how my existance and your existance are related and connected, philosophy is awesome... WHO SAYS IT IS JUST RHETORIC? the ability to pursue a quenched thirst for understanding is the most important thing we have... I like video games- I also noticed the mods were nicknamed after metroid characters...I have to say metroid is one of my favorite games, tecmo bowl, Armored Core, Gran Tourismo, Tenchu... I like almost every game that is fun... Boy this reply is sure running along/// I'll be posting when I feel I need to input... Like I did just now, Thank you for your patience...
