The very, very, very first music CD I ever bought was the 4 disc FFIX soundtrack when I was in elementary school. I still have it. Oh my god the memories still rush back to me when I listen to it. :)

I've actually been remaking a bunch of songs from that soundtrack this week. The battle theme is so much fun to do :D I never played IX but it has the best music of the series.

Oh I would gobble that up in a moment. I'd love to hear whatever you've got! :D

Holy shit, no kidding. Just finished Lair of the Shadow Broker (two difficult boss fights) and the insane Collector ship battle in ME2, all of which are near-on impossible. The fact I'm playing as an Adept also isn't helping. The difficulty level really forces you to think strategically, both in team selection as well as how you direct them during fights, so it does feel pretty bad-ass to have beaten those sections as a Lvl 19 character. :D

Stopped playing Dead Island: Riptide awhile back as I got bored with it, but picked it up again as I didn't want it to go unfinished. Now that I've unlocked new sections and enemies I'm having more fun, though I mustn't let myself get too over-exposed, or it'll go back to the shelf gathering dust.

I'm quite fond of Zero Punctuation (and its accompanying column Extra Punctuation), but you probably already know about that one since you mentioned Jimquisition, which is also featured on The Escapist.

Yeah Yahtzee is pretty good but I'm looking something more informative rather than funny. A website with well written (and not bought) articles would do nicely as well. There's way too much bribery going on in most game journalism.

edit: well to be fair not "most". That's an exaggeration but too much anyway

Alien Isolation in just a few weeks....yay! Hope it's not gonna suck. I guess the alien's AI will either make or break the game!

This is true. About a year and a half ago a certain Dutch website closed down, which up until then wrote unbiased and honest reviews in a pretty distinct, funny style. Even if I didn't care for half of the games that were written about I'd still go there because it was enjoyable reading, and the commenters were also a special breed of insane. :D

After that site closed down some of the writers went on to join different gaming websites, but it's clear there's a bit more final editing going on there, so I kinda just lost interest. So I guess I'm also open to suggestions. :P

Edge magazine was always my source of thoughtful, unbiased, unsullied game info. I'm well out of touch these days though, so no idea what's happening with their website or the mag itself.

Got PS4 some time ago, and lately I have been playing Last of Us Remastered. Damn, great game, loads of great elemenst and strong story. Obviously it has some faults but they are minor and I very much like to see more, maybe sequel or spin off.
