well, it's been confirmed....the Mako will return in the next Mass Effect game

I just found out the hard way that the Australian version of Beyond: Two Souls is the censored European version. And while I have completed the game (well, once) and enjoyed it, I feel gipped that the ratings board here lied by giving the R18+ rating, labeling it the original version. I know the only real differences are about 10 seconds of footage that make it slightly less violent, but for fuck's sake, the rating was put in place so we could get the proper, uncensored releases.

Not that it has stopped them from censoring games anyhow. I suppose it's not as bad as what they did to Saints Row IV or Stick of Truth (will import the US version of the latter when I get around to it).

Might it have been a manufacturer's decision rather than Australian censorship? What with Australia being PAL based like the EU, might they may have just given us the EU version rather than put the time/hassle/money/respect for our gamers
into doing an uncensored PAL version?

Just speculation based on my limited knowledge of the game. I might be way off.

It's possible. Then again, the ratings board has never been the most open-minded when it comes to video games.

I picked it up from AC2, played Brotherhood and now Black Flag and loved them to bits. I hope you do too!

Hubby suggested I start at AC2 as well, and I am loving it! Not sure what took me so long to try this series. I was expecting to be bored but it's a fantastic game.

Awesome! I can't comment on the revolution one as I haven't played it. Glad you're enjoying 2 though. I had moments in that game where I really felt like I was in Renaissance Italy - sublime.

Revelations is decent, but nothing too special. To me it felt like a large DLC expansion of AssBro. AC2 and AssBro are definitely my favorites here, followed by Black Flag. (then 3, then Revelations, then 1; gameplay-wise at least - storywise these 3 are probably reversed)

Just finished Saints Row 4, which is just a bunch of fun. I love how the game never takes itself seriously. "Yeah yah, here's a plot, backstory, blah blah, just go blow shit up". The jumping/gliding and special combat reminded me a bit of Prototype 2, also not a bad thing. And it's pretty cheap to pick up nowadays.

Not sure what to go for next though. Maybe continue my second playthrough of ME1, 2 and 3 on a different character... Of the upcoming releases I've seen so far I'm interested in Far Cry 4 and AssCreed Unity. But the latter requires a nextgen console, which I don't have. Not sure I want one either. Probably when GTA 6 comes around

I was saying I was never going to upgrade from my PS3... Then I saw the preview for Last of Us in the PS4 and of course the exclusives coming... Uncharted 4 and Little Big Planet 3. So now I am just waiting for a deal

I'll wait for Batman: Arkham Knight to be released. Though GTA V on PS4 may tempt me sooner. We'll see.

Ok I'll admit that the new Batman and Uncharted games are right up my alley!

It's all academic for me at this one as I have my money tied up elsewhere.

The flipside of that is that I'll come to the consoles late and have a plethora of great games to play, most of them at bargain basement prices.

well, GTA V will be awesome. It was awesome on the last gen consoles already but the framerate and other issues made it a little unpleasant for the eyes. But GTA5 with smooth 60 frames per second and full 1080p....OMG. Also, THE EVIL WITHIN and ALIEN ISOLATION are on my must have list. Finally, at last, survival horror returns!
