GTAV might just be the game of the year. It was soooo much fun. I think I'll have to replay it again and take a different path in some missions. And Trevor is just too much fun. Justin, just wait untill you meet Trevor.

Making progress with STALKER: Clear Sky. Got some pretty good gear and artifacts at this point.
This pretty much sums up my feelings when Running through Red Forest with a Bloodsucker on my tail:

forgot about The Last of Us....darn, now I'd really have a hard time picking my #1 game of the year. Good thing is I don't have to pick one! Yay!

Finished STALKER: Clear Sky. Awesome game, if you disregard the rather grand letdown of an ending. It's so painfully obvious how the developers had to rush the game to the market, the last few areas of the Zone being completely linear, thoroughly scripted FPS action that has already been done countless times before. But it doesn't matter much, as pretty much everything up to those brief final chapters was so enjoyable. But for subsequent playthroughs, I probably won't bother going for the last portions of the game and just call it finished after lowering the bridge to Limansk.

Among the nitpicks I do have however, Clear Sky is guilty of having too good quest items that you have to return. The Compass artifact (+6 endurance without emitting radiation) needs to be returned in order to continue the main quest. You do get a fully upgraded VSS Vintorez sniper rifle as a reward, but it's nowhere comparable to that "free" endurance boost. In comparison, the best "regular" endurance booster artifact is +6 endurance and +3 radiation, which you need to balance out with another artifact. And then there's the Ak-74 chambered for 7.62x54 ammo. Part of the "fetch me X" sidequest line, you need to return it in order to get any more quests of that nature. I mean ANY - if you don't complete that one, no other NPC gives out those item retrieval quests until you go back and return that precious hard-hitting AK.
I'm SO joining the "quest items must be shitty" petition!

Hmm, guess it's now time to start STALKER: Call of Pripyat. 8)
Shadow of Chernobyl has to wait until I find the right mod for taking out the lottery element from the gun mechanics.

Still don't have GTA V (yet), so I decided to give GTA IV a spin and cause some random havoc.
Man, it's starting to look dated. The controls and gameplay were more tedious than I remember, as well.

Oh well, when you can run down people with cops chasing you for blocks whilst blasting Deicide on the radio, you can still have a great deal of fun.

Sleeping Dogs, on account of it being free. Not too bad, but I don't like button mashers.
Got all three Mass Effects w/DLCs. Starting the whole thing over since I only did ME2 last year-ish.
And playing through HL2 Ep1 & 2. Oh, and finally playing FO:NV and not killing the Legion. I still can't stand those guys, though.

Finished Far Cry 3. Restarted GTA V choosing the other option for the heists, but interrupted that because AC:BF arrived so currently firin' ma cann0n. So far it seems that this AC installment is giving the series some much-needed new juice, it's fun! :)

Does anyone want to have a Project Spark beta key? I'm not quite sure what it is, but a friend asked me to sign up for the beta in case I got it and he didn't. Both of us received a key. You need Windows 8.1 to run it.
PM me if you want it :)

Got the email newsletter from GOG. Ended up buying Perimeter for $1.79.
Noticed IL2: 1946 on sale for $2.99. (Btw, if you got a joystick, get IL2: 1946! If you don't, get IL2: 1946, then get that joystick!)

No use getting Il2: 1946 again (already got my physical copy), but that reminded me to check if there's been any patched released lately. And oh boy, there has been! :D
New flyable planes include the Hawk 75 fighter and SB-2 bomber. It's always so awesome to have new planes operated by the Finnish Air Force added to the game! 8) Gotta get that patch ASAP and get flying again after a while.

Well, I ended but buying IL2:1946 as well. I sent GOG.com some email and they confirmed that the version they sell is the latest. Good to have that in case I need to reinstall someday.

Does anyone know if there is more single player content for Battlefield 4 (PS4), I finished the campaign and I'm really not interested at network play. There is China Rising extension available at playstore, I wonder if that is just for multiplayer...?

South Park: The Stick of Truth is the best fucking thing EVER...there, I said it. I'm sure many of them new games are great too (haven't played any due to lack of next gen consoles which I will rectify in October or so) but none of them new, fancy games have......RANDY MARSH.

Also E3 in a few days. If they announce Mass Effect 4 then my balls will implode. And there will be a new Mortal Kombat game too! Well, it won't be released over here in Germany because us Germans need to be protected from all that virtual violence because virtual things are so threatening and bad.

Currently heavily invested in Watch Dogs, which a friend of mine described as "GTA IV with hacking". Which may be true, but I really like the concept and gameplay especially when sneaking around an enemy area using all the boobytraps to your advantage. And the Digital Trip minigames are just tons of fun. Only thing I cannot get used to is how clunky the car controls feel, literally can't get a grip. Also, I can't say I'm really invested in the story or the character, since it starts with all sorts of things going wrong for a guy I don't know or care about yet.
Spoiler: show
It took me way to long to figure out the kid who died was his niece, not his daughter, and that his family is actually his sister and nephew (instead of wife + kids).
So I'm not sold on the writing so far, but I've only just finished all the missions in Act 1 (out of 5) so it may redeem itself.

Also, I'm playing it on a Xbox 360 so I'm sure it looks nicer on the new generation of consoles. That, or GTA V has ruined it for everyone. Actually sounds like I'm pretty negative about this game, but it really is good fun to play. :)
