On a personal note, I just submitted an application to study a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at the university down the road from us. Basically to become a primary school teacher. The folk there are pretty confident I'll win a place given I've studied at another uni previously. Fingers crossed!

Little girl, 7lb3oz.
Both mum and baby are healthy and happy.
It's been a long day and I'm both very happy and very tired.
In a week where the great Mandela left us and a good friend lost her brother, I feel very blessed to welcome into the world a little girl who will be loved and nurtured and allowed to blossom as best we can.
To all the people on this forum who I have spoken to over the years, be it in a one off capacity or over many hours of interesting discussion, thank you for being a part of my life and for being here to share this little moment with me in this small way.

That's cool, I'm glad you guys will be together for the festive season.
Baxter is going to be a decent big brother it seems. He's obsessed with giving his sister kisses and wants to hold her constantly. Mum and bub should be home tomorrow so the real test will begin once the novelty wears off and he realises he doesn't have parental attention on tap 24/7. But I'm sure he'll do well... he's such a good kid, we got lucky!
