Hope. I gotta tell ya, my family has been going through a tremendous amount of hardships. Through all of the roughness we've endured my friends have really come through and gave us options to take to not lose everything. All that I've went through lately has really shown that people as a whole can stick together. Ladies and gentlemen, we are family, no matter the difference we can stick together and make things work. In a small (yet massive way) being a part of this forum has introduced me to incredible people (all of you!) that in whatever way give me hope in humanity and I cannot thank you enough for that. We were about to be homeless if not for the help from my friends, and one thing I thought hard about that I would miss, is the access to you lovely people. I love you all, no matter how little we've come in contact directly. If any of you need anything I will do my best to do it for you guys.

My son's middle name is John, which is the name of my Dad, my uncle, both my grandfathers, and is also my middle name. So I agree, a family name would be good.

Unfortunately all the female family names on my wife's side are either taken or... less than ideal! Every time we think we have it nailed, we get tired of it or find fault with it. But we do have a couple of possibilities, and will also have 60 days to come up with a name after she's born. Not that I relish the prospect of a nameless baby!

It's so awesome that some drunk hobo dude wanted it - literally, wanted me to take it off and give it to him. Uh, no, I like this shirt.

He then began following me, bartering for it by offering to give me his tattered Nirvana shirt. Again, no thanks. I'm going to work, I don't time for this. I left him shouting fo me to come back and give him my shirt.

That's one way to start the day off, I suppose.

I just creeped out myself a little

You just reminded me of that sequence from It (the book, not the movie) where a syphilitic hobo tries to offer young Eddie a BJ, chasing after him; later the clown appears, rotted and diseased and doing the same thing, but he nearly gets Eddie (who barely escapes). That scene creeped me out when I first read it (I'd had a similar experience that age) but also made me laugh, and still does.

My wife loved it as a kid and got me to read it a few years ago.

I read "hobo" as "hobbit"...I was sure I couldn't remember that part in any of Tolkien's work...
