I concur! Currently halfway through the first game and I'm loving the world they've created. Seeing what they're doing with it next-gen makes me tingly in all the inappropriate places! If they can pull off what they're promising... let's just say there will be some stressful meetings at Bethesda's offices.

exactly. I read one island in The Witcher 3 is as big as the entire The Witcher 2 game  . It's supposedly about 20% bigger than Skyrim and obviously about 28,450,382,383% more detailed.

Also looking forward to Suda51's new game Killer is Dead. Looks insane as usual.

I usually start playing games about a year after everyone else. Sometime ago I finally started playing Skyrim. Waiting was the right thing, since now there are so many sweet mods for the game, that I don't wanna quit playing! :D

oh you're not the only one. Only started playing it a few months ago. And have not even gotten to all the DLC yet! :)

That's pretty much how I approach my gaming these days. I used to be an early-uptake kid (bought one of the first grey import PS1s in Australia), but now I save an absolute fortune and still get to play great games... just a while after the hype has died down.

Have fun with Skyrim, such a brilliant game.

Yep, I tend to do the same thing. Except for GTA V, that one can't get here soon enough.

Currently mostly playing The Last of Us and loving eeeeeevery second of it. It's an amazing experience and I think proves that Naughty Dog are the kings of the industry at the moment.

Oh, and still playing Skyrim, 300 odd hours up now. Don't think I've even done 5 main quest line missions... Gotta try get more of it done before the insane game release season starts in a few weeks!

Batman Arkham Origins, GTA5, Killer is Dead...that's the ones I'm looking forward to. GTA5 will probably totally consume me however.

I'm really looking forward to GTA V as well. I want to preorder it before it's too late to get access to the blimp. Need to find a money tree first though.
GTA Online looks absolutely amazing, I've read somewhere that it has over 600 missions. Dayum.

Just finished The Last of Us. Haven't been this broken up about about a game ending since Red Dead Redemption... What a masterpiece. Maybe Naughty Dog will find a way to bring it back in the future...

I'm looking forward to just over a handful in the next few months... couple of great PS3 exclusives in Beyond: Two Souls, The Puppeteer and Rain, and then the general malarky with Arkham Origins, Assassin's Creed IV (I have faith that this one will be good, despite eeeeeveryone thinking it's gonna be another load of bollocks...), and of course, Watch Dogs.

Still, chances are that, aside from Watch Dogs, everything else I just listed there won't be played until Summer 2014 while I get sucked into GTA for months on end.

Nerd rant commence.

Pondering Arkham Origins as details are being released have left me with some reservations as of late, primarily due to the timeline.
WB Montreal advise the story as taking place five years before Asylum, and I recall an interview with one of the developers that Wonder Tower (from Arkham City) would appear as not yet completed.

First, for the latter point, references to Wonder Tower all throughout Arkham City infer that it was there for decades, not a few years, so if this is true they've already displayed a continuity error with their re-imagining of old Gotham, which leads me to wonder what other errors there will be (I'm more willing to give Batman's gadgets a pass as they always evolve).

Second, Batman is apparently in his second year in Origins.
Given all that he has to deal with in fighting the copious amounts of super villains, cementing his reputation, going through three Robins, having Batgirl paralyzed and changing to Oracle, and the complex relationship he has with Joker, five years does not at all seem like the correct amount of time to tell this kind of story.
Ten years I'd believe. Still, I will keep my mind as open as possible when I have the game in my hands.

End rant.

I finished it yesterday and I'm suffering major withdrawals right now. Everything else just seems a bit shit by comparison.

I will never say a bad word about Mass Effect, but I fired up ME3 today and the difference in the acting (both voice and animated)... wow. TLOU just took everything up a few notches for everyone. A well deserved Edge magazine score of 10.

I cannot believe I put off playing Red Dead Redemption for so long, but I'm really loving it. So far the only annoying bits are people interrupting me while I'm on a mission, asking for my help (I'll rescue your damn horse after I fight off the bad guys, ok?!), as well as the occasional unexpected cougar attack. Twice I've heard them in the distance, thinking, "They're not that close", when suddenly my horse is dead and I'm trying to shoot the sonofabitch while on the ground.

Anyway, this will tide me over 'til GTA V.

Pretty much the only game I'm playing right now is The World Ends With You on the iPhone. It's stylish with heavily anime-based graphics and has an amazing soundtrack. For an RPG the grinding is surprisingly fun and you have so many abilities, which you perform in so many different ways that it really keeps things fresh. I completed the story in about 25 hours but then the real challenge comes afterwards where you can revisit any point in the story and have a set of missions for each chapter to find hidden items and do side quests.

Pre-ordered GTA V yesterday. Gonna be fun since I just came back from the general LA area, so I'm looking forward to seeing the translation of those places to the digital universe (again). I also drove past several places which are in Fallout New Vegas (aside from Vegas and the Hoover Dam itself, obviously): Boulder City, Nipton, Helios-1 I saw too, Primm actually exists along the I-15 and indeed has a rollercoaster. Geeky as hell, but loved it nonetheless. :D
