I didn't even know we had it here until I read we were getting a censored episode (IIRC). As I'd prefer to watch it from the beginning, I decided it might be best to wait for an uncut DVD release, as I hear otherwise good things.

Just avoid censored episodes. The whole point of the series is to get mindfucked beyond all mindfuckery. :P

roughtly a month to go, then Breaking Bad is back. Time just does not appear to be passing fast enough! Hopefully the last episode will blow everyone away!

Ok, I'm just going to ask.
Is anyone else watching Under The Dome? I'm giving it a chance, although I have noticed it's going in quite a few different directions to the novel.

Still, I went in thinking I'd be underwhelmed and so far have been wrong. We'll see how it evolves.

I missed the first couple of episodes and was quite bummed as I don't have Foxtel any more so my tv options are limited, especially as we're waiting for our broadband connection to be set up.

Now that I hear it may not be completely awful I might have to catch up online in a couple of weeks.

It's on Ten, so you don't need cable to watch it, if that's any help. Tonight's episode was interesting, I thought.

I'd like to watch Under the Dome as I heard lots of good things about it. Alas it probably won't be shown on German TV before 2057 :P

I know, all the more reason to catch up! Free to air tv is so awful, anything like Under the Dome is to be cherished!

So I'm up to date with Under the Dome now.

Hmm... Not sure if I like it or not. The acting and writing are pretty variable (from decent to horrible). It helps having Dean Norris as Big Jim in there, that's for sure. Love that guy. I wanted to kill all of the teenagers in the first few episodes but a couple of them have grown on me somewhat. I'll stick with it, so that's a good enough sign that it's got its hooks into me.

Watched the latest season of Falling Skies and each season it gets closer and closer to being the show I wished it was, without ever looking like it will get there. There's still too much of that cheesy 80s "you humans are an amazing species who would die for your freedom" bullshit. Too many rousing speeches (which they even acknowledge themselves in the script at one point, I liked that). Oh, and the soundtrack is so schmaltzy, it's sickening. On the upside, it's about alien invasion and has big guns and shit, so I keep watching.

Watched the first two episodes of Vikings last night. Talk about Skyrim deja vu! I put Game of Thrones out of my mind as it that would only lead to disappointment. And I liked it. Nothing too groundbreaking, but the production values are good, the acting is solid, and... IT"S ABOUT VIKINGS!!!

Missed Vikings last night, but they have an encore on Tuesday on SBS 2, so I'll catch up then.

Pretty much agree with Under The Dome at this stage. Dean Morris not only plays a great Jim Rennie, but takes a character from the book who was a total asshole and makes him likeable.
