I'm currently in the mood for horror movies and I'm looking for the really, really scary kind. And I'm not talking 'scary because Sarah Jessica Parker is in it' scary...no, I mean 'holy fuck, that scared the shit out of me' scary. Maybe you lovely forums people can recommend some scary flicks that I possibly do not know yet?

oh and it does not really matter whether it's old or new flicks either. Cheers in advance! :D

V/H/S. It's among the best recent horror flicks.

had an eye on V/H/S actually so sounds like I should check it out. Same guy also made 'House of the Devil' which I wanted to check out for quite a while, has anyone seen that one yet?

I actually need to finish that. It starts off really really slow, which isn't bad. My main complaint was there's like 10-15 minutes where she's just trying to order a pizza.

Not sure if you've seen it, but the 2012 version of Maniac had quite a few intense and chilling scenes, made stronger for being entirely within the killer's point of view. You might associate Elijah Wood with Frodo, but this film will change that completely; he totally blurs the line between sympathy and monstrosity.

 what? You mean, literally 10 - 15 minutes? Oh boy. I'd still sort of like to watch it. But I might be just a bit less interested now, heh.

I'm going to have to watch it then. And I have no problem with the whole Frodo thing. I thought Elijah did a pretty good job in Sin City and Hooligans too actually. And to be honest, I've never even seen the original 'Maniac'
