THIS.

I also wanna throw out that Homeland is fucking amazing.

Is it really like ra-ra US Army patriotism? I've been trying to get the girlfriend to watch it but she's very against all that sort of carry on.

It gives that illusion at first, but stick with it. I had the same feelings.

Watched the rest of Metal Evolution. How the fuck can he not even talk about death metal, black metal etc and yet he dedicated a whole freaking episode to grunge!?!?

What I want to know is how can he do progressive metal and neglect to include Devin - as a matter of fact, he always seems to! You'd think he would include him considering the impact he's made. Oh well.

I suppose the fact he did a whole episode on nu metal says it all in terms of funding. Pissing off those Linkin Park fans was funny, though.

Uhhh, devin's impact is pretty small, and Opeth had no coverage either

I know, just a pet peeve. It would be cool if they made a second series, though.

His upcoming film about Satan ought to be interesting.

God, that kickstarter project better get up, or my suburban white boy rage will never be appeased. An entire episode dedicated to asking if grunge is metal. A whole episode dedicated to the likes of Limp Bizkit and discovering the joys of a Nickelback live show. But nothing about, oh, I dunno, Death, Immortal, Morbid Angel, Carcass, Emperor, Samael, At The Gates, Deicide, Gojira, Napalm Death, In Flames, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Fear Factory, yadda yadda, you guys know who I'm talking about.

I guess VH1 wanted to scare kids just a little, but not so much that their God-fearing soccer moms would write nasty letters.

Ok, I'm done.

I feel for the guy, he's clearly a massive metal head who really knows his stuff, but he had to bend over backwards here.

Currently watching 30 Rock, Homeland, Breaking Bad and reruns of Dog: The Bounty Hunter and also some Jeremy Kyle USA. And the news in the morning. Because Catriona Shearer is hot. And news is informative.

Our former local newsreader who I thought was quite the hottie is now someone I say hi to on a regular basis due to certain circumstances. Circumstances that don't involve stalking, mind you.

My wife thinks it's quite funny.

Currently watching Season 2 of The Walking Dead. Very good. Not great, but very good.

D'you not think?? I'm fucking loving it. Lots of zombies, lot of murderin', not as much bullshit human drama. I think it's going in the right direction. And Norman Reedus as Daryl is one of my favourite characters on TV these days.

In really, really, REALLY sad news tonight saw the last episode ever of The Thick of It, Armando Iannucci's genius political satire that's been running since 2005. My favourite character from any TV show ever (right up there tied with Zapp Brannigan) is in this in the form of Malcolm Tucker; the angriest, sweariest person possibly ever placed on TV. He and the rest of the show have been so good and I'm gutted to see it go. I think that, aside from Arrested Development, it's probably the best comedy show I've seen.

Other things... I wasn't as into the third season of Louie as the previous two. He became a bit more of a dick throughout and I didn't like that the stand-up segments kinda got cut back. I also watched his short-lived HBO family sitcom called Lucky Louie which I really enjoyed! Not as good as Louie though and the story came good and full circle during the first and only season so I think it was better off left at that. The guys stand-up is fucking immense as well, I must add...

Still currently really enjoying Boardwalk Empire and the new series of Dexter is the best in a while as well. Still sweating on AMC's decision about whether or not they're gonna bring back Hell on Wheels, which I love and had a bitchin' second season finale, for another season next year. They're keeping fairly quiet on it thus far and it's worrying me!

I'mma try be on the forum and contribute more so I can avoid these enormous months-on-end-encompassing posts in future. :P

Recently I got sick of everyone telling me how great Breaking Bad was so I decided to give it a go. Well, I got hooked, ended up watching all 4 & 1/2 seasons over about six weeks. I think it's a great show, in fact I thought it was so good that once I finished it I'd randomly start thinking about it and then be disappointed that there were no more episodes to watch. :P I thought that it felt a bit, I dunno, inconsistent(?) after maybe the first two seasons, the vibe changes and it kinda feels to me like someone else had taken over writing it. There's a lot to wrap up with the last eight episodes, can't wait.

...and there's already three seasons of Louie? They've only just started advertising it here, I didn't know it existed til a couple of weeks ago. Jeez we're slow on the upkeep. I was going to give it a go when it airs, but stuff that, might start this arvo haha.
