Perma-move or holiday? One of my two best friends is leaving for Melbourne as well for good in like 3 weeks...

Recent purchases have been mostly booze due to a fairly miserable few weeks.

Just holiday. Warm there, innit.

Well only a tad bit warmer than your land.

There's a popular saying: the coldest winter is a Melbourne summer.

It's not entirely true (average 33 to 38, some days reach over 40), but it's not as hot as the northern cities.

I'd say it gets as hot, if not hotter than the northern cities I've been to. But it's nowhere near as humid. Humidity is the killer up north, and I hate it. And that old saying is true - if you don't like the weather in Melbourne, just wait 5 minutes. :D

Anyway, Melbourne's right up there with NYC as my favourite city in the world. Have fun and EAT EAT EAT.

I will do a number of things. That including EAT, probably. Since I've already bought the plane tickets I've got a dickload of money to go around with. I will enjoy things :) And temperature isn't really a problem, I'm used to Norwegian winters at below 0, and I've lived in a country that sometimes reaches above 50. It's all relative, innit.
