Played through Limbo in one sitting the other night, what a beautiful amazing little game.

well, it's official...ME3 will get a free extended ending DLC this summer. Sounds like the endings will stay same while they just add some stuff to clear some things up, such as additional cut scenes and dialogue. And guess what, there's still a ton of crybabies whining. This past March will be remembered as the month of the crybabies.

Also, I guess EA has received thousands of letters from people complaining about the gay romance 'options' in SWTOR and ME3. Man, people got issues.

I think the Extended Cut was by far the best response they could've given if they had to cave at all. It likely won't fix my continuity errors, but that's okay. I didn't ask for it, but I'll gladly check it out.

Hiya, Trans-Tasman Sis! :)

Still haven't gone any further into ME3 yet, and I'm now rather trepidatious about actually playing.
Having the pressure to like it or be considered a entitled piece of shit crybaby...

Nearly missed the last tube home on Wednesday due to playing Evil Dead Regeneration, so I've got my mitts on that for the time being while I'm stuck on Duke Nukem Forever and Wolfenstein.

I'll play ME3 once everybody's forgotten about it. I've got Fallout New Vegas to work through before that anyway, so that'll keep me busy for a few months probably.

Currently into Batman: Arkham City and it's really growing on me. Still somewhat lost with all the new gadgets and combo options, but managing to kick some ass nonetheless. Right now starting the second Catwoman sequence.

edit- Oh, in case someone wants the original Fallout, GOG.com is giving it away for free this weekend: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/fallout

edit again- Didn't see this until just now, fuuu.

Picked up Silent Hill Downpour and the HD Collection. I'd tell you a bit about them, but my Xbox is 1500km away and its getting here got delayed by a week. Harumph. I won't recieve it now until the end of my week off, what a waste of good gaming time! Oh well. I'm very keen to lay my mind to rest about a few things though:

I was very skeptical about how good Downpour was actually going to be
- the official trailer didn't seem that fascinating
- longtime composer for the series Akira Yamaoka no longer does the games' scores, and I didn't think the style of the new guy Daniel Licht was going to suit it
- The last two games weren't great. Shattered Memories barely seemed like a Silent Hill game and Homecoming should have been called 'Silent Hill: The Game Of The Movie Of The Game'.

However, I watched the review on Good Game and it actually showed really promising footage. Much more action, surprises and it seemed quite thrilling. Score doesn't seem bad either (Although the opening theme is by Korn, not sure how to feel about that :? )

also, I heard the HD collection isn't that impressive either, supposedly they screwed up the atmospheric effects in the transition to HD, and there was some big thing about the voice acting being re-done shoddily, and people were petitioning to have both dialogue tracks available with a toggle mode, not sure what happened with that, didn't bother to find out. I guess I'll just have to wait and judge for myself.

the original voice track is available at least for SH2. That was a copy right problem though. Same goes for the music, they had to redo the music for the same reason. At least for the original voice track for SH2 they managed to obtain the rights for the original voice tracks again.

I also saw several vids where the fog in SH2 HD looks pretty weird. Looks like there's a wall of fog infront of you that moves away from you as you are moving. That kind of kept me from buying it so far. But I guess it could be worse. The gameplay (at least for the 360 version) seems to be intact. Maybe it's a good idea to just wait a little while and see if there will be patches that address all the reported problems or maybe they'll re-release the game(s).

and Dave, I think you're mature enough not to go bonkers and post 17437403 negative comments on all sorts of game sites and cry so hard that one would think something serious happened like an A-bomb going off or something, heh. If you don't like it I'm more than sure you'll take it like a man. A hairy man. A manly hairy man. One sexy wombat of a man. So I don't think you should let anything keep you from finishing the game. Besides, if you do not like the ending you at least know that BioWare will add some stuff this summer that may make it better for you.

There ain't anything wrong with not liking the ending. But when people go on metacritic and post the same 0 points review several times each time with a different screen name just to pull down ME3's score, post the nastiest comments to each article that has just the slightest thing to do with ME3 and go on a total emo rampage that makes you feel like you're caught in a Final Fantasy game, then that's the point where you're almost embarrassed to be part of the gaming community.

P.S.: for those who wanna know what the extended cut DLC is all about

 whoa!

in my case it would say:
8 hours played
last played 4 months ago

and that really does not mean that I don't like it because it really is awesome. Just not in the kind of gaming mood that you have to be to get through Skyrim. I'm surprised I played ME3 as much as I did. That was the only game I bought since November or so. :?
A little bird has told me that I may get the Game of Thrones Blu-ray box next week as a birthday gift when I have my party. Maybe that'll get me in the right mood for Skyrim! (said that about the LOTR Blu-rays too though, heh)
