guess I'll be one of the people encountering character import problems as mine was created in ME1, heh. Oh well...as long as all my decisions import without probs.

Seems to be just the custom faces that fail to import properly. Which I haven't used so far anyway.

About to finish my 2nd proper playthrough of ME1, then onto 2, then I'll buy 3. :P

If you spend a minute you can reconstruct your character not too badly. Mine had a weird thin neck anyway. The only thing I find weird is that you could theoretically change your class again.

you were able to do that in ME2 as well though. It's weird but oh well...
mine will arrive tomorrow, can't wait to check out all the goodies that come with it! Hopefully Amazon will send the pre-order DLC codes quickly too!

Mine had better arrive tomorrow.
Currently "in transit" from L.A. with good ol' DHL... :|

Already got my code for the M55 Argus Assault Rifle.
And bought this just now, with superhyperultrafast shipping:

I have to wait till summer for ME3... Bleeeeeeeeeeh.

In other news, I Am Alive is apparently pretty shit. Who saw that one coming at any point in the last 6-odd years!? :?

if they had just stuck with its original design it would have been awesome, I'm sure. But I guess Ubisoft figured it's a better idea to invest that money into the 2957305th Assassin's Creed game :P

my N7 edition arrived...yay! Played it for about 3 hours or so. I can confirm that when you use a character import that you used since ME1 then Shepard's looks won't import. At least they did not in my case (playing it on Xbox 360). But I was able to give my Shepard the right looks again , at least for the most part. The nose and the forehead may look a little different though.
There's a few minor things that Bioware has not managed to iron out since ME1 such as dumb AI and squadmates getting stuck but other than that it feels like Mass Effect. I did notice that this game gives you fewer reply options than in the previous ME games, not sure if that changes at some point in the game....but don't get me wrong, there's still a TON of blabbing going on.
You can customize your weapons much more and better than in ME2 without things getting out of hand the way they did in ME1. So in my opinion Bioware found a good compromise. Also skill customization has been improved with more options without going berserk with 13739373 skill trees.
So yeah, so far I'm digging it! Can't wait to see how things go from here.

I'd say after those first two missions you get a bit more again. Wandering the Normandy or the Citadel gives about just as many as they always did, but even still maybe 10-15% less choices, which I consider not too shabby considering the conversations themselves are greatly improved.

Lars, do you play in German or English?

Also, do you want to save the galaxy with me? <3

I play the game in German because there's no English sound on the German discs. And I didn't want to waste even more time downloading the English sound file (which is roughly 1.4 GB big) and just wanted to start playing.

and as for saving the world together, I currently am only a silver member but will most definitely post something in here once that changes. My internet connection is not the best though so lord knows how well that would work anyways

well, for your sake I hope the US version is region code free!!! Heh. Lucky you, the little 'M rating' symbol on the cover of the US N7 edition is soooo much nicer than the HUGE and BLUE 'USK16' symbol on the German N7 edition. The goodies that come with it are really nice. But that stupid robo dog is pretty useless! :P
