So I just started filing my taxes and somehow... I am getting a shit ton of kesh this year. Like, buttloads. Enough to fund two major up coming trips and still have about half the money left over.

So Modest Mouse headlined a concert for MacWorld, which is an Apple convention, and they basically just played half of The Lonesome Crowded West and a ton of early shit, which is the biggest fuck you to a corporate audience I've ever seen. It was amazing.
Been really under the weather today, couldn't be fucked to make some dinner so I had a Sainsbury's Microwave Morrocan chicken soup. It's pretty awesome. And I actually found a bit of chicken in it! At least, I think it was chicken...

So a few weeks ago one of my best friends growing up, Dante, found out the reason why he'd been breathing poorly was due to a nonlymphomic tumor growing in his left lung, diminishing his breathing capacity to 60%. It was looking pretty goddamn bad (and part of the reason why I've not really been around, forum restoration aside).
It hasn't spread and it's not true lung cancer, so he has a fighting chance, and you have no idea how happy that makes me. 25 years old with terminal cancer is not something that is fair to him. Especially since he's already lost his mom and dad.

Hope he gets better. Health issues at such a young age are horrible. Strips you away from the sense of immortality.
