Hey Silje,

So we have decided to go with your artwork for our next album! Yep, it's just that good. We really appreciate you sending us the larger files. We were able to tailor it perfectly to suit the cover art.

As to your your request for acknowledgment ... get freakin real, girl! Of course you will be "given credit." On launch day, it will be widely publicized that the brilliant artwork came from you (as widely publicized as we can make it, through our various social media). Additionally, your name will be 'plainly' visible on the back of the album. None of this "tinytiny" business ... credit where credit is due. We truly appreciate you giving us a great idea to run with -- the album cover looks fantastic, and it's largely in thanks to you. Bravo, and thank you so very much. :)

Just wanted to share. Kthxbye.

Thank you! :D I haven't seen the final result yet, so I'm very excited. I hope they haven't fucked it up by using some sort of ugly font, ugh. Fingers crossed!
The album is released today, friday, but they live in Texas and because of the time differences I don't know exactly when. I will show you as soon as I have something to show you! Heh. Oooh this is exciting!

oh man. here's a real DEAR DIARY one for you...

so there's "this guy" who i've had a crush on for a few months and he's had one on me too. we've been hanging out a lot in groups of common friends (who really enjoy harassing us when we're trying to have a conversation), but we had dinner and beers tonight alone. we finally laid it all out pretty clearly: primarily, i want to be friends with him because i think he's super rad and shit like that and if we end up screwing around, that's great. he also primarily wants to be MY friend because he thinks I'M rad and shit and also thinks it would be fine if we screwed around, but he's a little hesitant because he's monogamous and i'm not. he doesn't want to put himself in a position to develop actual ~feelings~ and then be hurt by my other activity. which is totally respectable and not a problem for me. i sort of revel in sexual tension anyway, so it's not like it's going to be some terrible, painful ordeal to not jump his bones every time i see him, especially because i'd rather have a friend than more dick.

i'm just excited to be completing these weird grown-up communication dances. i guess it's not weird at all, but it's a strangely functional thing for me to be doing.
i'm also really pleased to be making more friends because i've been at such a loss as to who my "crowd" is for so long. i never fit in anywhere. turns out i'm criminal intellectual scum. imagine that.

Most awesome thing ever that might seem like a minor detail, but is actually a life saver: I GOT INTERNET IN MY LONDON ROOM AGAIN! My laptop crashed on November 17th and I've had to stay at university ALL DAY for computer access. Yesterday I got back in London after the holidays, with my old shit laptop... and 10 minutes ago, it got granted internet access. ^___^

Now. I shall call those fuckers who have had my broken laptop for waaay too long.

Oh man I am so jealous about that. If I wasn't about to spend a zillion bucks on uni and moving and rent/bond and hauling all my shit with me and general expenses relating to relocating, I'd have done a stopover in Brisbane for Soundwave and then kept trucking to Sydney. Oh well!
