That is a really sad story, and it bums me the hell out. (cue certain parties who thinks that's lame of me)

I mean, it's awful, and the bastard shouldn't have had them in the first place... but did you see the bit in another version of the story that the lone animal at large may be a monkey with herpes?

People expect me to dance for joy because it's my birthday forgetting that
a) my dad is terminally ill with cancer
b) my mom got killed last year
c) my brother couldn't deal with a) and b) amongst other things and committed suicide this year
So really any day I don't go to get out of bed, forget to grab a cane, fall on my face because of the cumulative effects of my deformed legs, and just lie there until the wife comes home is a good one.

Now all of those awesome beasts are dead too.

I'm really sorry about all of those things. I hope that things turn around for you and your loved ones. I know it's pretty bad right now, but try and keep your chin up!

I just realized, as I'm listening to Deconstuction, that I have not loved a Devin album since Synchestra, there have been cool songs, but not one cohesive album that has struck a chord with me as his older work have done.
I miss that.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, I mean this and Batman Arkham, where has my taste for the finer things gone?

Well like, it's differing opinions and such, but I don't rate Synchestra very highly in the Dev pantheon at all. The entire DTP I like maybe less than OM, Terria and about as much as City.

It's a fairly common thing that happens when we get older that we don't like things as much. I'm actually pretty cynical about a lot of things, but I try to tell myself to be open to things.

Ultimately, it's all taste and problems with taste though, not a big deal.

I don't rate Synchestra as high either, but it's the last one that has had an impact on me, the last one that was any kind of magic. I might be the odd one but I really really like Physicist, one of my favorites. I definately rate City way higher than any or the complete DTP package.
And yea, growing old for me meant that I've left things I used to like behind, heck even people, but it's not a great feeling, to lose that connection.

not really, it's one of my favorites too. I listen to it quite a lot. It may actually be the most listened to DT Album for me personally! :D

i really like synchestra, but i don't like vampire or vampolka. they "ruin the ambiance" for me and that can sometimes ruin albums for me. notes from africa almost makes up for it alone though.

i like physicist a lot too. i'm always broke as shit so i can't buy ALL the music i want, but i do actually have physicist on disc. the similarity of the rhythm throughout the album can get on my nerves sometimes, but it's really REALLY good to play while i'm sleeping. that could be construed as an insult, but that's one of my favorite ways to absorb music.

That's the same kinda feel I get with Ziltoid, all the talky parts take away from the music for me.

Apart from DTP, I think Synchestra is my favourite. :3
