Season 4 of Breaking Bad was SO good that I literally felt like I was going insane for about two hours after it was over.

Dude, I just finished Season 3. Whaddafux. And BIGGEST FUCKING CLIFFHANGER EVER WHY DON'T YOU.

Also started Arrested Development at the behest of you fellers. About 5 episodes in, pretty damn funny.

I dunno, the episode before the end of season 3 that just ends "Run!" was a bigger cliff-hanger to me.

I agree, as was the second to last episode of season 2. But when it actually aired I think the season 3 last episode was probably a bigger cliffhanger as you had to wait another six months or whatever to see what happened. Which is kinda gonna be what happens to me until I find a way to actually watch season 4...

I think the finale was the best thing I have ever seen on television.

it's apparently become cool to hate on and call it the jumping the shark moment. I submit that that's preposterous.

Woohoo indeed. April will be here all too soon.

Tonight's favourites for me:
BBC 2's 'Origins of Us' presented by Dr Alice Roberts ( I learned!)
Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies - grossly good.
BBC 4's 'Fresh Meat'

Embarassing Bodies is compelling TV. And it's usually on here at about 10:30 at night, so if I'm up watching telly I'm in that half-dozing state which makes it even more startling.

There's a nice man on my TV... oh, and there's his warty penis and some teeth growing from his balls.

Hello random lady... oh, you've spread your legs to show us all the problems you're having with your weepy vagina. Beeecause you were too embarrassed to see someone about it. And you dealt with that by showing your bits to people all around the world on TV. Well... good job you then.

Just learned they are doing a third season of The Colony, pretty cool show, hope it kicks ass and they get interesting people.
Second season was not all great.

Yep, when you think about it it's pretty strange. However, on the plus side it's meant to be an educational show so without exhibits it'd be pretty difficult. The teenage episodes were particularly useful I thought. What horrifies me though is the general level of ignorance about bodyparts and health issues.

It's funny, when the season started I had my doubts since they seemed to creep about the issues and plot movement felt slow. Walt was becoming increasing dis-likable and you just felt this tension that something had to happen. However, now having seen the season as a whole, I marvel at what they did. They managed to make the audience feel similar emotions to the characters through the way they told the story. Being irritable, displeased and anxious and waiting for the shoe to drop was exactly how Walt and crew felt through the season and then panic set in as the gears started to churn and things moved forward faster and faster to the incredible conclusion.

Calculated and elegant in it's delivery, it's really the best show on TV.

Excited about the Walking Dead starting up, the first episode was a lot of fun.

Deadwood. One of the greatest things ever made by humans.
Arrested Development. The recent revival news has created a bag o'cats in my underwear... :P
The usual animation suspects, Family Guy etc. (special mention to Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law with Colbert, S. as Reducto)
Spooks. Have to catch up on the last couple of seasons, though.
Big Bang Theory. Just got hooked on this recently. I think I'm a cross between Sheldon and Charlie Manson...
I'm currently procuring this "Breaking Bad" thingy that all the kiddies are raving about.
Lotta HBO stuff - Oz, Sopranos, Carnivàle, Rome, Band of Brothers, The Pacific (a lot of which was filmed near here).

The obvious classic British: Monty Python, Not the Nine o'Clock News, Blackadder, Young Ones (can recite that in my sleep), Fawlty Towers.
My all-time total geek-out: Babylon 5. Met half the cast at various conventions. I know. I'm sad.
Somewhat of a love/hate relationship with Battlestar Galactica. I have to be in a less-misanthropic mood to watch it.
Some shows that were cancelled, such as Jericho (and Rome, Carnivàle above) left me with such a case of blue balls that I lost a lot of faith in TV, and shows I may have otherwise liked; as I didn't want to invest the time immersing myself in a story - only to have it scrubbed. As a result, I've probably missed out on a few good 'uns the past few years.

^ I would advise missing the last couple Spooks seasons. Lucas North is a prick.

Anything that the Chaser touches is gold. My dad is best mates with Julian Morrow's dad, so we get the lowdown on what's happening next! It's so good that the Hamster Wheel is up and running:
