i work at a grocery store. i've been a "courtesy clerk" since november which is just a nice term for cart runner, bag bitch and cleaner of toilets. it's really not so bad, but i work with a bunch of lazy kids who hide out in the back room or around the side of the building while run back and forth taking care of everyone else's shit in addition to my own. too much customer service for me.

I was a courtesy clerk too. I know how it is. . I escaped into another world most times, usually stories. But I think I read something about you being musical? In another post.
I saw Jeff Bridges on the telly the other night. Can't remember if it was Jon Stewart or what.
But I just loved it when he said that the secret to his success was that his mom told him "to work, and to work hard, but don't take it seriously."
Those are wise medicine words, I think.
