Hey all,

Figured I'd post this, to anyone who might be interested and of course, to the Dev man himself. I've been working at the Medieval Times near NYC (in the meadowlands in NJ) as the Lord Chancellor. If you have ever seen me at a show, you'll know me as the dude on the horse with long hair down my back and a deep voice with a British accent. Well, the hair has been cut off, I'm back to school studying diesel mechanics, only because performing is more of a hobby and a fun thing for me, but it's really hard to make a living from it.

Why post this on the Devin Townsend forum? Because I listen to Devin before every show on my iPod. I'm all about the voice. I just close my eyes and imagine that I'm playing at a concert singing Devin/SYL songs. Then I can go out and put on as kick-ass a show that I can.

So yea, I'm back in school, cut the hair, working on my career. But that's only so I can have a steady income, so I can do the fun things I love, like performing, singing, writing music, etc. In the evenings and on weekends.

But I haven't left Medieval Times yet! I still work on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays. To anyone who is gonna be in the NYC area, hop a bus from Port Authority straight into Lyndhurst, the bus stop is just a block away from the castle. I'd love to meet some Devy fans at work! I'm sure I've seen you guys at the BTBAM show, and when Dev headlined last fall at The Gramercy. I'm always asked about my voice. People think it isn't real, they say it's a recording, and I just lip sync over it. Nope. I learned from the best.

BTW finally got my 2pak Decon/Ghost in the mail, I'm on my 2 or 3 thousandth listen! Thanks for the kickass music, Dev!

I bet it is a kick-ass job, though. Sure beats what I do. Looks like fun!

Whenever we've been to America I have to put into considerable effort for my bf to not drag me to Medieval times based on the above given that he loves that movie and I hate it (secretly I bet it's a lot of fun though!)

Awesome job, but if it's time for you to move on, all the best!
