My uncle just got taken off life support.. First time in a week. He had an apple-sized tumour in his intestines, so they had to operate, found the root a lot further in. Had to take a big chunk of intestine as well as some stomach, liver, kidney and lung. Then he came out of it and had a massive heart attack.. recovered from that, then both his lungs collapsed and he had heart failure, so they had to put him on life support and desperately try to keep him alive by inducing a coma. They've snapped him out of the coma two or three times but twice he wasn't responsive and the third he almost had a brain haemorrhage so they put him back in. Then they discovered he now also has pneumonia and they were worried he might contract MRSA. But they tried taking him off the life support this morning and he's holding his own again. Heart is circulating, lungs aren't in danger of collapse, brain function is all okay. It's just been shit rough for that half of my family in the last six months. My grandad died in November, two of my aunts marriages collapsed and then Tom got cancer and once the operation went through it was just setback after setback. My dad in particular has just been stressed to fuck for what seems like forever and just to get any good news, and this is pretty good news as much as he's still got a huge uphill battle ahead, is just great...

Best wishes to him, man. My grandad's been fighting an uphill battle for 6 months that had a pretty bad setback recently, but he's in recovery... we hope.

Today we’ll tell you how to make absinthe, the legendary drink of Van Gogh and Hemingway. Not that green substance that is sold in each nearby alcohol shop but pure and qualitative, made of herbs. Some Russians do love it as well. Well, all the details inside the post.

I almost bought a bottle of absinthe in Leipzig, GE, but didn't.

LOL I was also going to *rub* but now that doesn't seem to be enough - the bar has been set too high.
