Everything will be announced in due course, but rest assure it's definitely not seated, nor large enough for an orchestra.

I mean, surely you'd be cool just seeing Dev, Beav, Dave and Ryan's beautiful faces?

Of course I'd be cool just seeing those faces (though preferably they'd be attached to heads, in turn to bodys which in turn were manipulating some kind of instrument) BUT can you imagine the devastation of not only using samples but actually having musicians there playing the symphonic elements....

of course monetary constraints, time constraints et al. cause major problems

either way

Awesome, I'll tag along then if it's ok.

Count me in. I'm planning on making a proper few days out of it and a mass forum meet would be F*****G awesome! PM me numbers nearer the time if you need help with organization.

You know too much. We should interrogate you.
My guess is they take the pews out from the Union Chapel for the Addicted and Decon shows. Surely those things are removable & interchangeable.

Considering it's still used as a church fairly regularly, I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be happening for the sake of a couple of days. I know a few people who've been to all sorts of events there (conferences, shows, talks) and all have had the pew seating. Another venue is way more likely, especially considering how close to most other venues in London Islington already is. Probably a lot easier logistically too than taking apart that place!

Fair enough :) It's good that we have people here knowledgeable enough :) I have been London twice. Once when I was 2 to see the Natural History Museum, (which despite the age I fully remember and will definately be going again), and once last year to ozzfest, during which I saw only the 02 arena and many roads, so I welcome the wisdom of the many!

Although Lettuce I still think you know more than you say. We will break you.

On another note, I have been a member of these boards for over 7 years now and I only have 270+ posts. But I have been a keen revisitor checking up on info and news. Nowadays I feel like I want to get involved. I have a weird thing where I may have an opinion on something but might feel too shy to say it. If I had been open about everything I may have around 4000+ posts right now. But I love these boards :)

I generally say shit before I think about it and work next to a laptop all hours of the day (WOOO self employment!) so my forum barkings are many and often.

I'd say in a few months time we can draw up a list of activities that are free/cheap to do and then we can decide if we're gonna do it. If it was up to me we'd be going to the London Dungeon four days in a row (with DTP in tow) but we have to be realistic here, as THOROUGHLY amazing as the Dunj is; it takes up a fair wedge of day and dinero.

I have a question. It's one thing having samples playing in the background because of the constraints on having a full orchestra, or playing samples of vocal overdubs live (see; Earth Day) but what about the ridiculous drum tracks on Decon? Ryan is a great drummer with an awesome groove, but I doubt he's going to be able to play Dirk's blasts when they play that album live. I found this old Blabbermouth interview where he seems to imply they will be touring with both drummers, but that seems pretty unlikely to me. Any thoughts?
