I'm one of the main metal reviewers on PA...that review won't stay up because they don't dig on leaks.

Mine will be up shortly after the release date.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I disagree with several of that reviewers points, and we've discussed alot of albums on that site.

You can really tell who only got the 192k rip of deconstruction by their reviews. They always talk about the mix being hopelessly undecipherable. That's really noticeable with the vocals.

The 320k rip is just so much better. If you only have the 192 version then you should do yourself a favor and delete it. It's a shame that so many people are reviewing the album with a shitty rip.

I looked at my tracks and the info says 320kbps. Those 40-50 extra megs of deconstruction make a world of difference to me. Maybe you guys should get your hearing checked.

If you convert a 192kps mp3 to a higher bit rate it doesn't make it better quality. In fact it's worse than the original 192kps one. You can't add something that not there.

Nah, the Xbox fully died (no red rings, just completely green screen--fried GPU) about 2 hours into Fallout 3. So it looks like I'll be taking a pass on that one. Anyway, I've been busy with school, etc.; I just thought I'd stop by since I was pretty happy with the way Deconstruction turned out.

I don't doubt that, but the 320 rip that has been circulating is a transcode, meaning that someone ripped a 192 to a 320. There's not really any additional information in your tracks. Sorry.

Alternatively, if you have a legit 320 rip (show us the spectrals), you should share.

About these reviews being based on the leaked mp3's... Really? I thought those reviews would be based on the promo CD's that were sent out (from which the leaked mp3's came), making their comments on the mix pretty valid.

Having said that, who knows on what kind of speaker system they listen to these CD's. And then of course all reviews are subjective anyway. I quite agree with the one Lolliklauer linked to; I find the weirdness kinda off-putting for several of the tracks to become truly memorable. But I guess that's what makes it a grower and not an instant hit with me. I like songs where I can find some hook or vocal line or whatever to cling on to as the song progresses. With Deconstruction I haven't found them for all songs yet, although I've grown fond of Juular after my 2nd listen yesterday.

In a way I'm quite jealous of all ye who claim it's the best thing ever already. Like you're "further ahead" or whatever.

eeeeeek....nooooo!!!! That is something I'm always concerned about, my Xbox was replaced about 2 years ago so I hope it won't die too quickly! Anyways, good to see ya again on here but school comes first of course. Just don't forget about us once you're not busy with school anymore!!!
