Dear Devin,
You have sodimized my mind and turned it to jelly........ Thank you. I broke as soon as the climax in Deconstruction ( song) happened. I pictured a person with a dazed expression standing in infinity with rainbows and burgers raining all around them. O.O

Listened to it again..... (Yeah I decided to keep the files, still pre-ordering though)

I just teared up listening to the end of the title track, Devin's vocals are so fucking beautiful. His highs just make me very happy.

Speaking of which, during the first half of 'Praise the Lowered', just before it gets heavy when Devin is singing "sober, stone cold sober", doesn't his voice there remind anybody of the female vocals from Chumbawamba's 'Tubthumping'?

'Oh Danny Boy, Danny Boy....' :P

Three listens into the album.

Listen #1: WHA... fu... I gotta go lay down. Let's listen again!
Listen #2: YYYEEEAAAAHHH!!!!! My blood pressure's skyrocketed and infinity is beyond me, but I can do anything without fear now!!!!!!
Listen #3: (During 'The Mighty Masturbator') Hey, is that the 'Ki' thing? I think I heard the 'Ki' thing!

It seems that I have to give this a few more listens before I can say anything constructive. But so far, so good. Love it!

Deconstruction (the title track) is quite possibly the best recorded song ever.

Followed closely by Sumeria.

Alien has absolutely nothing on the chaotic mindfuck that is Deconstruction; can't wait to give this album a proper listen on better speakers.

Thanks for another great album, Devin. Really looking forward to Ghost now.

I LOVE the escapes from the madness, that feeling of freedom when he goes from utter chaos into those moments of symphonic bliss.

Devin, you are amazing.

I agree. One of my favorite moments, as well.

Ditto.
Epid build-up/release moment...One of many, if not my favourite part of the album.

This may well be the best Devin's album. I still want to hear Ghost, though.

At the first listen, I was amazed and overwhelmed. With two more listens, I was kinda pissed off about one thing:
This album lacks the subtlety that most DT albuns had. Physicist lacked it too. But there is a certain subtlety that makes, let's say, Ocean Machine, very powerful. A clear example is TDOM.
Anyway, I had been thinking about that all afternoon. Then I listened to Decon again in the way back home.
I concluded Decon needs no subtlety. It's not meant to be subtle. It's meant to bother, to melt, to (duh) deconstruct.
And it does it's job really well.

After, let's say, five listens, I still don't get most of the music. I still don't get most of the lyrics. I am still kinda overwhelmed by all of it.
But I fell it. I feel the rocking powerfulness of Stand. I feel the sarcasm in The Mighty Masturbator. I feel the weirdness in Deconstruction. I feel the anger in Poltergeist.
That's what DT really is about, I guess.
With time, I hope I will get the music and the lyrics. ^^

Thanks Dev. I feel kinda guilty for listening the leak.
But I'm sure, as soon as I have the cash, I'll buy it.
