Good observation. I also kind of miss the voice samples. They really add to the feeling on Ocean Machine and Terria.

I like them, but can't say I miss them. They belong on those albums, and I think they'd be out of place on the new stuff.

I've seen a few folks say that this album is more chaotic and headache-inducing than 'Alien,' but I don't get that at all. Even with all that is going on, it never seems chaotic to me. I love 'Alien,' but it just so manic, and if I'm not in the right mood, it grates on me. I don't get that with Decon at all. Maybe it is just the right amount of stuff going on to keep my mind occupied, but not overwhelmed? That doesn't make sense, because it is busier than 'Alien,' but that is how it feels to me. I don't know.

Devin, you should be very proud of this album. It really is a major achievement. I hope it gets the attention it deserves, and opens up some new doors and opportunities.

listened through about 5 times today and im still making sense of it (in a good way though) there is just so much to take in.

its fucking awesome tho, i think KI will still be my favourite out of these four albums but this is a close 2nd. i like the way aswell the guest vocalists are just guests popping up and suiting the part instead of it feeling forced like "i wrote this bit so such and such can come and sing and i can get some more fans"

major props to the orchestral arrangement aswell, this is the crazyiest album ive ever heard

I prefer Ghost.

And just so we don't get all religion vs. not, my view again is that 'I have no idea' ... so I guess I'm some sort of agnostic. To not spend much time talking about it makes the most sense I think.

But really, it comes down to 'I have no idea'.

I'll leave it at this tonight, sorry to talk so much shit.

My personal summary:

Ghost > Decon (prefer)
God = ?
Downloading = fine
Me = dumber every day

I'm an idiot. goodnight.

I'd almost say you seem more Humanist than anything. You focus on what we are and like to dissect our intentions and emotions and what we try to be.

It sounded really bizzare and whacked out on first listen, and the bit just after the unveiling of the cheeseburger nearly gave me a heart attack, but I definitely agree with this. Its all over the place but it sounds focused and controlled.
I think Planet of the Apes or TMM might be becoming my favourite song, but I love them all.

Couldn't help but crack a smile all the way through that section :)

Wasn't Z2 a full scale musical? (or did that get scrapped?)

It's hard to me to admit that I don't feel confortable with this album. I know, this a normal feeling. It has to be like this because this one is really unconfortable.
But it is deeper than that.
For example, I can't consider "The Mighty Masturbator" as an entire and completed piece of music. It is too deconstructed for me ( :P )
It's like listening to a Mike Patton' song, who knows when it has to be cool or not ? I would say sometimes it works, sometimes it don't...
It is all about "destroy to create", I'm not the first to say it (actually I remember something like "God create, Man destroy" from a famous artist) but Deconstruction ultimately reminds me this concept.
There may be a point where the act of destroying is so present that there is no more things to show, but this point can be very different as everybody has his own point of view.

I hope I'm not like this silly kid who is disapointed because he didn't get what he expected.
Because there are things that I love in this album ! (Stand, Juular, Pandemic, ... I really love this tracks) For the next days, weeks and months (and years), I will listen it and try to know what I love and what I don't like, and maybe know why I do.

As far as I know, it's still in production. Whether or not Epicloud will come first or not, I don't know. I remember him saying that he wanted to do something less insane before moving on to more Ziltoid zaniness.

Oh, man.

I was waiting for an album like this. I feel it is completely spot on and I can't wait to get my hands on official release. I wanted to write much longer post but since it would be filled with cheesyness I just kept it to myself. :lol: Cheers Dev, Serbia loves you.
