You know, I used to read comics quite a bit. I still read them, but I seriously used to subscribe to over 40 titles at one point. I only read a small amount now. I wonder if we have a comic book thread here? I'll poke around and see what I come up with. I have a feeling that there are more than a few folks here that like them, as well.

I've been getting way more into Devin's work lately and decided to register here.

I'm 19, live in Memphis, TN, and a sophomore in college. I'm into most kinds of metal, specifically black and death metal. However, I prefer Devin's solo/ambient stuff more than SYL oddly enough.

Anyways, I'll be taking a trip to Atlanta to see 3 of my favorite bands, Children of Bodom, Obscura, and Devin himself. I'm stoked

Mine are Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch), a HUGE SYL fan, a huge fan of metal in general (SYL, Opeth, Death, Cryptopsy, Atheist, Megadeth, Exodus, Slayer, Testament, Warbringer, Bonded by Blood, the list goes on). Howdy I'm Aaron, recently introduced to Devin Townsend last year, don't know why it took me this long to sign up for this. I've listened to a lot of Strapping, and as much as i can find on DTB, I recently bought Addicted by DTP. I am a guitar player and i try and call myself a musician, I am currently gathering a band together. Band name is still undecided, but the few people I have gathered have an idea. I have recorded a few songs(just guitar tracks) about it, don't really know how i should introduce myself on here. I have 6 guitars and come July i will have the seventh guitar. I sing a little bit. Just thought i would say hello.

I've been into Dev's music for a year or so, having been introduced first by the medium of SYL. I love all kinds of music, from the heaviest of heavy metals (SLAAYER!!) including bands like Triptykon, Nile, Mayhem, Meshuggah, Gojira, etc etc. I love all kinds of Nightwishy symphonic stuff, traditional hard rock and heavy metal, classical and new age, jazz (I play the trumpet, and love to improvise ).
I am also an archaeologist (and will hopefully soon have a nice shiny certificate to prove it XD ) and so I just love to dig up very old and very dead things, being very grim and necro and all that.

I would imagine he does use email, but you can be damn sure we don't have the address. If you want to message him Twitter appears to be the best option. He's on it a fair bit and often responds to fans and stuff. Or you could PM him here on the forum but I doubt he reads them much as he probably gets inundated!



Anyway, to you and other new people, enjoy the forums! We all bite quite hard, but it's sort of playful rather than vicious, so get stuck in right away.
