Maybe not the best idea on a first playthrough or first listen though, but yeah I thought of this.

Well today's my birthday ("and i'm 29 years old....") so that was a nice present :) Can't wait to hear that stuff live!

I'm listening to the E.K.O. tracks that came with the limited edition of AE, and they do the job pretty well. I wonder if there's stuff like that on the Ghosts.

Damn I'm itching inside... Listening to the first 2 tracks.. in the middle of Stand now: Like a mix of a heavier Ki and Infinity sometimes.

Hope I'll hear one or two new ones @ Tuska

Decon cover art has much more sense now after hearing The Mighty Masturbator.
Overall, the album is very intense with a lot of stuff happening. The orchestra part is very subtle though, I expected it to be more noticeable...
Planet Of The Apes ftw!

I love you for being from Iceland!

Also, I still smile each time I hear Dev say "poverty" in "Deconstruction" towards the start of the song... That little section cracks me up.

Dev said this would be a grower, and even if he didn't, I'd know that since it's 70 minutes of dense, tremendous musical onslaught. I plan on going for a walk tonight with this, and then I'll hear it again later tonight. This is going to become as much a part of me as possible.

That's what I did. Got some coffee, put the album on my iPod, and went for a long ass walk. It was fantastic (the walk and the album!). Great day today.

Absolutely loved it. The transitions in The Mighty Masturbator kept me mesmerized - I really loved the direction in that song and I didn't want it to end. I could not tell where it was going, and there were so many movements within it that totally surprised/excited me. And of course, dev's vocal talent really shined here (sickly remix of a few lines from Numbered). Fucking brilliant song, cannot praise it enough.

Deconstruction was a complete mindfuck, and again, loved the direction. I really enjoyed everything - the shorter, heavy songs were so intense and of course, Juular, easily recognizable as the single. Planet of the Apes was the weirdest one for me. That seems to be the only track I do not remember much about, but that could be due to my affair with TMM.

No complaints at all about this one. When I heard some of the flatulence on Deconstruction when Dev did those awkward live shows where the crowd wasn't paying attention, I was a little turned off, but hearing it now in the context of the album was very... refreshing? I don't know, didn't mind it at all though, got a chuckle out of me.

That is the first time in my life I've seen farts described as refreshing
