Totally agreed. Whether people choose to download or not is their business (there was already a debate about that here a while back; won't go into that) but I myself, despite hating to wait, almost always feel better when I do. Can't tell you how many times I've listened to one too many songs off an album that's coming out (even stuff that's officially released in promotion of the said record), and those songs winds up becoming underwhelming by the time I get the album. Always wind up thinking to myself 'Gah, if I'd just held off a BIT longer... it'd been worth it!' I feel the same way about Deconstruction and Ghost, really - I just keep telling myself that, hey, we got our first taste of Ghost back in August - and Decon in November. Now it's May, and they're being released next month. If I've held out this long (only listening to Dev's updates, and unfortunately cracking and listening to that chunk of Decon's title track) I can make it another month or so. I don't have issues with anyone who downloads anything, really, because that's their business... BUT... I know I always feel more rewarded when I just wait until the record's in my hands physically to listen. Thus, my abstinence from leaks.

On a similar note, I've said it before and I'll say it again: not to sound old school, but I find it funny/depressing that music - something that was once a product, requiring purchase - is now something regarded by many people as free. If you download and listen after buying/pre-ordering the music, or buy after you download, fine... but for the people who don't pay for anything they listen to, whatever happened to supporting an artist, at the very least?
