Fucking humidity has softened the legs of the unicorn cake topper I have been sculpting for my daughter' s birthday cake and they are just crumbling - using a rice crispy/marshmallow base with a wire armature. Have partially resolved this by remolding and affixing each leg at a time and coating in multiple layers of cooking chocolate, but this rather precludes and fine sculpting and has added more bulk to the shape, with the buttercream and fondant layers still to go so what was going to look really finely shaped is now going to be blunt and crass. Fuckety fuckety fuck.

Entirely my fault for attempting a 12 inch unicorn rather than 3 inch or so like everyone else. Idiot.

That is disapointing, but it's cool to hear you are working so hard to do something unique and special for your daughter. I'm sure she will appreciate it!

Wow! The humidity may be un-awesome, but you are awesome for attempting such a thing! :)

hmmm may still get out of it with some dignity intact. the cooking chocolate has resolved stabilty issue, although precludes any finer sculpting. Hopefully a laye of buttercream and a fondamt coating will allow enough squidge factor for detail shaping, and if not WTF, it's a load of 6 year olds.

Work in progress:

It will be rearing a bit more than this when finished.

Right, now three tiers of cake to bake.

Fucking cunting unicorn shitfuckarserotbastardboolocktwatflangefrotwanktwatcrapmingestenchbolshygreatyarblockoes!!!

Never think fondant will hide a mutitude of sins. It may work for Duff Goldman but it sure as fuck won't worl for you. It will only accentuate your fuckups and obscure your delicate sculpting, and if you want a white unicorn, attract every speck of filth in a 15b mile radius.

Shit shit and shit.

Lettuce, if you are reading this I will pay your train fare to come up and sort out this terrible mess, and give you Fangoria issue 1.

Think it is time to throw Unicorn Mk I in the bin and start again. But no more marshmallows and toTmorrow all the shops are closed for Royal wedding! Aaarghhh!
it's a fucking conspiracy.

I saw Tesseract live twice and didn't know who they were and think I honestly might've nodded off. Sorry Alucard.

I don't care. People say the same shit about Porcupine Tree. Everyone has different taste in music.

When do you want it for? I'm having a sordid weekend in a hotel in the middle of Norwich.

Failing that, I'm fairly good at giving instructions...

It's funny. I go to Uni with the usual attitude of "Coooool! Independence! No parents!" - Only to realise my own student house mates are making me feel more restricted than at home.

Maybe I should go and sit on the stairs for 10 minutes and think about what I have done.

Sucks dude.

I know a few people who have it (or had it), and it's not great. Hope it gets sorted.
