I put up the DVD pirate picture mostly as a joke of them patronising and unskippable pre-film screens. I barely noticed that there was some 'message' at the end so it wasn't the point of posting it and for things to get all serious. And btw, I never have nor will buy a pirate DVD. However, as per Faffy I don't think people who don't like them have 'short attention spans' or any other mental deficiency, I'd argue why should such screens have to be given any attention by people who buy a specific film. And yes, some do go on for 10 minutes. I'm not sure about others here but I wouldn't fancy listening to 5 minutes of unskippable crap before an album starts playing track 1.

All that crap on the front of a DVD is annoying. However, all that crap on the fornt of a DVD aimed at the under 5's... LIKE WTF?

1.) very few under-5's are actively involved in video piracy
2.) most of them can't read, so the FBI shit is just meaningless to them
3.) for us parents sticking on a DVD to calm down meltdown children, 10 mins of "You may not play this DVD on oilrigs or in prisons' does absolutely sweet FA to discourage criminal tendencies in us - quite the reverse. A further 10 minutes of screaming and "Idon't wanna watch this i want Scooby Doo/Dora/Cars/Babycart at the River Styx" wailing is likely to send me straight to the internet in fact. Via kicking someone's head in in the street.

My attention span is quite good, but still all those extra things mentioned really frustrate me.
