I'm sure Dev saw that image and wanted it, and they re-did it to fit. It's not that the artist couldn't come up with something original, he was giving Dev what he wanted. I don't see the problem there.

I'll arrange them in order on a wall in my room, and make em' look all nice... a fitting tribute to Dev, I think. Only way it won't happen is if I hear Decon and Ghost and they don't resonate with me at all, but somehow... I don't think that's going to happen. Just a feeling I have. :D

Fine sir, you know what must be done. If I could get the artwork cropped from you ( :D ) I would reward you with +5 to charisma for 30 minutes.

Man, if that's really just another piece by him... guess he really likes the giant heart/deranged cat thing. And, at static2 - I have no problem when Dev reuses riffs or musical ideas within his work, but the above pic? I dunno... that's awfully close to what's pictured on Deconstruction's cover. If Dev requested it because he liked that design, cool... if the artist just reused that entire piece because he likes it? That seems a bit rehashed, to me. Doesn't diminish my liking of the design or either image, regardless.

Well Dev does love cats......so it's safe to say that this is the case....

I admit I was expecting more chaos, but I also admit that when I saw the cover I was like SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE YES YES YES and then when I saw the slip case I was like: that is my 18th bday tattoo right there. The fact that the cover surprised me, where for example Ghost I was like ' that is amazing (yet expected)' makes it better to me imo. That's just me.

I like how the cat's eyes look like boobies in the Decon artwork.

I like that all of the album artwork for the dtp differs so much. IMO, if they all followed a similar theme, it would be predictable and cheesy. I think the logo on the slip cases is enough of a connection to tie them together, and even though they are all part of a single "project," the music differs so much album to album, that each one stands alone as well.

The slipcase is so cool! The actual artwork seems like it embodies the music perfectly, but I need some time to get used to it.

Haha!

At this moment, the Deconstruction slipcase is my desktop background and my taskbar/windows are purple! :D

For me, the artwork is like Metropolis meets Batman Returns with steampunk. I guess the hoodied Dev is the only thing that's throwing it a bit off for me, but I can understand why he's there.

That's pretty close to what I thought when I saw it.
