Considering this leaf tainted water keeps our favourite dude going, I thought it'd be decent for us to have a thread about it!

Do you like tea? How do you have it? What kinda tea do you drink? How often do you drink it?

As I'm British; it's mandetory for me to drink it like it's going out of fashion (which does make me pee a lot, but it's all good, right?).

In Violet's teapot today, we have the very camp Passion Rose from Tea Palace-

Innit pretty? It's like I've ingested The Queen!

I love tea! I drink at least two mugs a day on average (my mug is 0,5 liter... so that's quite a lot)
I prefer my tea as... uh... tea. You know, no sugar, milk or anything like that. Just tea and water.
Mostly I drink mint/peppermint tea, spice tea (preferably something Indian-ish) or this truly delicious mango tea a friend bought me for my birthday. Yes, I am one of those who writes tea on my wish lists... and one of those who still writes wish lists apparently.

Is there something in tea that makes one pee more often (other than water I mean)? Because that would make a lot of sense...

I don't actually have milk or sugar in mine. I mean, I don't mind it if someone does it, but when I was working at the London Dungeon, the coffee machine was right by the workshop so I was having WAYYYYY too much coffee, and it occoured to me that the amount of sugar I'd be putting inside me could give a titan a sugar coma. So I stopped with the sugar. I've not had milk for years cause we'd have a bottle in the studio at uni; but as it was just the one bottle topped up in the canteen, you wouldn't know if it had been there for hours, or weeks.

Technically anything but black tea or green tea isn't tea, it's an infusion.

I have a cup of tea when the alarm goes off at 5.45 while I am waiting for the big teapot (6 pints) to brew through properly. Am drinking Yorkshire tea at the moment - the only one I know that has a different blend for hard/soft water areas. Black tea needs milk but no tea needs sugar (except that North African mint tea).

Mid morning I switch to coffee for a pot of Hawaiian Kona, then back to the proper builder's tea for the afternon shift. In the evenings we mainly drink peppermint, camomile or hibiscus.

Waiting for the new Teavana store to open in the local mall. I love loose leaf tea. They have some nice varieties there, though they are quite pricey.

I hate tea. It is my third most hated drink after Coke and coffee...

I get my tea drank on every day at work. Technically this is the US branch of a British publishing company, so there's tea EVERYWHAR.

I like my black tea, preferably, a nice breakfast tea all damn day.

Dude, get some loose leaf Lady Grey or Jasmine tea. It's too awesome for words.

Although my tea obsession isn't quite on the scale of Violets (who's dedicated an entire cupboard to it) I do have a particular fondness for Chinese-imported loose leaf/bags, actually Chinese brands- not what you get down in Tesco. Have a word with the folks down the Chinese supermarket and they'll get you sorted out. If not, next time you're in a hotel, nick all their tea. Especially if they've got a dish of various sachets of tea/coffee- steal them all. They're used to it.
Since losing my job though, I've been necking way too much coffee for the average human being (12+ mugs a day) due to my sleep pattern dying and the need to appear as awake as possible during daylight hours, but my heart has always been a 100% lover of tea. Stong, very little milk (depending) and absolutely no sugar.

In addition to Violet's image, this is what (comparitively little) tea I've got at this moment:

When you've spent £30 on not that much tea, THEN you have a pricey variety. I have totally done that.

...speaking of which, I got the same stuff for Dev, I hope he's having as much fun with it as I did :P

I am a devoted coffee drinker, but I do love a nice hot camomile now and then. No honey in it though, that turns it to pish.
