Hi everyone. I've more or less only lurked on this forum for a long time, but after I saw Devin play live I decided that I really wanted to contribute to the forums.

At the moment I'm 25 years old and I'm from Bergen, Norway (Norway's next biggest city). I'm really into heavy metal and rock (mostly 60's and 70's rock). And yeah, I'm more or less a big nerd. I love video/computer games, board games, comics, movies, books, sci-fi and fantasy stuff and so on (you got the point). I love animals, the nature and traveling to foreign countries. I'm also really into politics, history, religion, culture and health (taking care and being nice to people is important).

I've been a fan of Devin for about 13 years now. His music has helped me through many though, hard and painful times, and I'm really, really grateful for that.
About two years ago I was diagnosed with a rare form for leukemia. I never saw that coming.
The doctors told me that I had maybe two to three weeks left to live. Too bad for them. I beat that shit.
I got a bone marrow transplantation and was more or less in constant isolation for many months (think living in a small 10/12 square meter room which you could not leave for over 3 months). Only the doctors or some nurses could visit me. It was awful being alone through those months, but Devin's music really helped me out back then.
It's about one and a half year since the bone marrow transplant, and I'm still very sick. I've contracted a severe case of cGVHD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GVHD
At this point I may have only 10 to 15 years left to live, but I'll bet the scientists will discover a cure within that time.

Anyways here are some pictures of me:

Me a couple of years ago. Together with one of my heroes (may you rest in peace). http://i.imgur.com/mHto4.jpg

Me togheter with som "random" guitar player, right before I got diagnosed with leukemia. http://i.imgur.com/KRJ5s.jpg

Me during chemo. Isolated in my small room. Damn, I missed my hair back then, but I held my hopes up. http://i.imgur.com/WLXM3.png

I finally got to meet my hero last Saturday. What a really nice and caring guy. http://i.imgur.com/FZSah.jpg

And lastly a picture of me taken two days ago. http://i.imgur.com/lwJmL.jpg

That's more or less it. I hope I can contribute more to the forum in the future and that I'll get to know you guys. Much love and all that stuff. Take care. :D
