What a bust that was, I wish I could have spent the time learning a live language.

Certainly could have spent some time on English grammar.

Yes my typing and grammar skills are not good, it hurts to see the red all over, again. But english is not my native language either, and since French and english have alot of similar yet different words, i sometimes confuse them. I also hate having to capitalize the letter I, what's so special about it anyways.

It's expected to reach a category 4 or 5 when it hits, currently a 3...
We had the option to fly out tomorrow and evacuate to Brisbane, but we decided it's too early and we can't really afford accommodation down there so we're going to sit this one out at home and hope for the best... :(

The following is a rant perpetuated by my mind, not a condemnation of everyone who lives in the western world:

I don't care what foolish political ideology in the States you believe in (They all are, including your opinion, my opinion and everyone else's opinion.), but basically the folks cheering for this are literally cheering for the taking away of health care from other folks. I don't care if it's a flawed system, I don't care if it's expensive, I don't care if it's not the way you think it should be, this is still the result from the action. You're taking health care away from people. Think about that. Think about the things that really matter; y'know not material possessions.

This is an era where fewer people are employed, we're all bloated and dying from our western world addictions, and frankly, I'm starting to think we deserve it.

Yep', anyway, since that big crisis (not like it's really over, if ever), they can tell all the crap they want, the money lost through the saving of banks is probably much more than any healthcare system will ever cost.
In France gov's have been bugging us for years with the "social security hole" (something like 20 billion I think), using this as a pretext to chop part of it again and again (less and less drugs and medical acts are repayed, etc), yet what was payed to save banks during the crisis (and that is now a debt for the country = the people = less investment in everything that doesn't bring back more money immediately, starting with education) would've filed that hole. Shit Liliane Bethencourt alone could pay that, that's insane.
France is known for having a lot of taxes too, yet proportionally, with all the financial scam they have access too, filthy rich people eventually pay less taxes than a guy getting the minimum wage.
Yet it's hard to point the finger at anyone, it's all just an inertia that accelerates or slow down, or changes direction when facing a wall.
So basically it's all fucked.

I just wonder if the upcoming decades may be the scariest ever, or if all periods of uncertainty feel the same (not mentioning world wars).
Resources getting scarce, ecological disorder, climate change, globalisation and awareness that the earth is finite, overpopulation, we're in for a ride. When you see how fast (kinda, it's not really over) Tunisia kicked the bastard out, a lot of unexpected things may happen.
Or am I just too pessimistic ?

Yeah, I guess I didn't think ahead when I posted that, it's probably black because it would have updated by now..whoops.

It's confusion central right now, apparently Cairns is now going to get the worst of it and they're evacuating hospitals and stuff, then some reckon it's going to turn around and come bite us in the ass, apparently cyclones have a tendency to go south as they approach land...? :? But any way you look at it, I don't think it will be as severe as it looked like it was going to be yesterday, people are still packing their bags and pretty freaked out though. I hear we're out of the eye's line of sight which would mean we'd get the equivalent of a cat 2 here.. I dunno, every few hours it seems to change so I'm not going to be like, "HOLY SHIT I'M GONNA DIE" just yet. I think most people are more worried about flooding/storm surge now than their rooves coming off and stuff.

Oh and thanks guys :)
