Just for the fun of it, a poll and discussion of favorite James Bond actors, films, etc.
Mine's Connery, with favorite film being a tie between From Russia With Love and Goldfinger.

Dalton. Licence to Kill and Living Daylights were the first two I remember watching...probably the same argument as your first Doctor is your favourite.

Well okay, I mean Connery goes without saying, the swagger, the confident cool, the close quarters combat in From Russia With Love, it's all outstanding material. Even his lesser movies were alright. You definitely can't say that about Moore or Brosnan. Craig is a retread on Dalton, though Casino Royale was good but not as great as people will tell you. Dalton never got his fair shake, I'm afraid, since everyone was so used to the childishness of Moore's latter Bond films.

Or I could just throw you for a loop and say David Niven, but that'd be a laugh because it's untrue and THAT Casino Royale was garbage. Though Niven was okay.

EDIT: The less said about George Lazenby the better.

For the record, it's amazing how old all of the Bonds are, and they're all still around (short of Niven of course), and that's pretty cool.

Atari, you're a tough space broad, so I'll accept your grim and gritty choice.

Connery all the way. I'm not even gonna start mentioning Brosnan after hearing that guy trying to sing in Mamma Mia. Then again, it was a musical...

I'm waiting to see if anyone says Roger Moore. Biert maybe.

I was going to say 'if anyone gives any answer other than Sean Connery' but Atari already has. Some post-modernist ironic thing going on there I don't get.

My vote is for Bob Holness. "I'll have a J please, Bob."

I've never seen a Bond movie in my life.
