Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

It's a little disturbing that you act as though being stalked is a common occurrence that happens to people all the time, and you just say "Hey, oh well. I'll just sit here and hope it goes away."

Stalkers are not fun or flattering at all. I've had two serious ones. One was a tad mental, so I had my ex-father-in-law call him and threaten him at his place of work. He had been kicked out of the mall (where I worked) at one point after trying to give me present. Lots of incidents had transpired before that, of course.

The second guy was a waiter at a restaurant I used to frequent. He got my phone number off my checks and began calling me at home pretending he was some guy I had met at a bar. Then the phone calls became sexual. He somehow managed to follow me to one of my college classes. A girl I didn't know turned around in class and asked me if I knew a guy named Joe because he was out in the hallway waiting for me - I didn't see him in the hallway afterward. Next, he found out where I worked and called the store, telling a coworker he was my father. I got on the phone and he threatened me. Got the police involved. Then he moved into my apartment complex. With his fiance. I moved out immediately.

I didn't hear from him for almost a year, until he found my new place of work. He walked right up to me and said, "Oh, so this is where you work now." Luckily I never heard from him again.

Scary stuff.

Yeah, there is absolutely nothing cool or fun about having a stalker...I'm so sorry to the folks here who've had to deal with that. :(

The worst I have had has just been phone calls - people hanging up when I answer. Nothing major - thankfully. Wouldn't wish that sort of stuff on anyone!

You could say my girlfriend stalked one of my friends on Facebook so bad it made him quit using it.

I have a stalker kinda too. Well, actually he stalks almost everybody. People are often creeped out by how much he knows about their business. I try to be nice to the guy because I think he doesn't have much friends. I think thats why he stalks everybody.

Once I managed to creep him out back with a lucky quess of what he was wearing in a messenger conversation.

The only things that stalk me are cats, dogs and the occasional sheep or cows.

Oh yeah, and biting insects.

All the more reason I want to visit. :D

You should save yourself a lot of money and actually go somewhere nice.

Save even more money and don't leave your home

spend it on booze and hookers in the comfort of your own living room.

Well I do have Irish whiskey. Hey, problem solved!

I have to apologize if I seemed too flippant.

To be honest, it was not just a simple fact of life, and this person had disappeared from my life for months before reappearing in an honestly strange way. It was not easy to deal with, and I was shrugging off my only situation as being slightly flattering, because it's the only way I can phrase it for myself without being a little disturbed by the situation. I was not trying to imply that y'all should be flattered by the same situation.

I can only imagine how much more horrific it is when a stalker goes through means like you've described.

Sorry if I offended.
