So did my friends and I. And it was really worth it. I haven't been fan for a long time (2 years only :S ), but since the time I got to know Devin's music, I always felt just like "wow!" when I listened to it. And this "wow"-feeling was much more intensified at the concert in Munich.

It was great seeing Devin live and listening to his music, which I only knew from CDs before. I really enjoyed the evening - listening to some of my favorite songs live was amazing, especially to deadhead, which isn't "just" a song for me, but has accompanied me during the best and the worst experience of my life. Seeing Devin in a healthy, very funny and really good mood is, in my opinion, a huge reason for the concert's epicness. Another reason why I enjoyed the concert more than any other of the concerts that I have seen before was, that I have never seen an artist who interacts with his fans in such a nice and lovely way than Devin does and who is happy about seeing his fans happy. And incredibly happy and pleased, that's probably the way that I left after the concert. I was completely overwhelmed and for the next days (and weeks...) I only thought (and said...) "Wow!Zomfg!Wtf?Howepicwasthis!!!!!!!!". My feelings went to positive dimension i rarely knew of and so I became a little addicted (haha... well... yeah )...

Since my boyfriend lives in Vienna and i actually live in Germany i had to fly back home on June 29th. Sad sad. BUT! I flew to Cologne. Hmmm special thing in Cologne on June 29th?!?! :O The next DTP concert!!!! nobody of my friends could come with me on such short notice, so I had to go there all alone. Never went to a concert alone before so it cost me quite an effort to do this. I arrived at cologne airport at 6 pm, drove to the railroad station, left my luggage there and drove to the "Underground". Without having had a ticket for the concert. When I arrived there I saw what seemed a LOT of people to me and - no place to get last minute tickets. So i asked some people, all of them having no idea where to get them, some of them just saying "are there tickets left???". I panicked. A little. And just thought "please please please". Well there were tickets left. And I got in. And I was standing in the first row, right there where Devin descended from stage on time... And it was - again – incredible and overwhelming. So incredible and overwhelming that I couldn't even answer when somebody asked me which concert of the two I liked most. They differed from each other. But both of them were great, the best concerts I have ever been to.

Thank you thank you thank you!

(And yeah, not really an objective review, and also not in this "this is the set list and he did this and that" kind of way, but i just was overwhelmed by my feelings during both of the concerts. Maybe those of you who have been to one of the two concerts know what I mean...^^)

haha of course we all know, thanks for your review.
lucky you, it's quite risky going to a concert without having made sure to get in before ;)

I know! ...that's why I panicked a little :D I didn't plan to go there at first, but having been so overwhelmed by the concert in Munich I just knew that I would hate myself for not seeing the concert in Cologne all my life :D And so I just gave it a try and luckily it worked out ;)

right now sittin here and remembering how amazingly good this concert was. I expected SO much and was still overwhelmed - by far!

and: we got the best setlist on that tour, definitely (except tuska festival of course  ). although Earth Day was missing. but Dev surely will make up for that at his Vienna gig on 21 March...
