It was at the konami press conference.

Even in recaps of everything I saw nothing of this game. I'm going under reason that this was a sequel year at E3 and the only new IP's that stood out and got more coverage were RAGE, Bulletstorm, and Sorcery.

Sorcery looks cool/would be the only of those three that I'd personally play (Just not that big on shooters unless they're 2D, they stress me out, and thus I don't have much fun with them), but yeah it seemed like RAGE is actually going to be worth all that development time. Bulletstorm had me (at least to watch, anyway) at kicking in doors to smash enemies.

Rage and Bullestorm look incredible. I really have a feeling Rage is going to redefine the FPS genre and Bulletstorm is going to bring back the days of Serious Sam(Got the Second Encounter HD off Steam, SO worth it!) style gameplay. I'm just glad that the few new IP's that were shown all have some potential to be great.

Looks like it's gonna be some laugh of a game. Can't wait!

careful...it's developed by 'Rebellion'. Their games are often not all that good. In retrospect I must say that the recent AvP game isn't really good either. So whenever Rebellion develops a game, I'm very cautious.

on a different note. Kind of old news but still....this is what Mario Galaxy would look like in 1080p, pretty sweet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX-ll_-D ... re=related
I hope the next Nintendo console supports HDMI and I hope Wii games will work on it. Would be nice to play Wii games at least upscaled in HD.

Yup, I love me some new spiffy first person games. Rage is a bit late to the party with the whole postapoc schtick but still - open world and vehicles? Count me in. And Bulletstorm is made by the same guys who did Painkiller and Painkiller: Battle out of hell, so it pretty much guarantees mindless violence on highest possible technical and artistic level.

Funny thing - few months back I was bored and couldn't find a game that looks remotely interesting, now I suddenly have ten new titles on my wishlist :)

Red Steel 2 is actually pretty cool. And Motion Plus works pretty well actually. I hope there will be some more good, exclusive Nintendo titles using it that won't be ported to PS3 eventually.

As great as Rage looks, both graphically and gameplay-wise, I hope that the post-apocalyptic future FPS genre doesn't join the ranks of the World War II FPS genre. Post-apoc futures do allow game designers to get more creative, since they are set in a world they themselves dream up, but does it have to fall back on the default of heading from one town built from scrap metal to another, fighting mutants of various sizes along the way?

Bulletstorm was a title I hadn't heard of until this year's E3, but it's definitely got my attention now. Once I saw the gameplay teaser that featured the massive saw-wheel thing chasing down the train car which the player is riding, in addition to the Burnout-meets-FPS action, I knew instantly that this game has the potential to be loads of fun.

the only thing I'm worried about when it comes to Rage is the story. I hope id comes up with a good story. And good characters too. That is kind of what eventually made Borderlands boring to me. No real story, characters that you were not able to interact with at all. I hope Rage gets a better treatment when it comes to all that. Graphics aren't everything after all.

Got playing the Saboteur again this afternoon for a bit of fun. Still have a good few installations to.. disrupt. :P Also I dunno is there anything better than strapping RDX to every cow in a field and blowing them all up simultaneously. :D

Naughty Bear next week!

did you play the Dreamcast version? If not then I can tell you that the Dreamcast version is supposed to be even more difficult than the PS2 and PC versions.

the PC version

i had to look at a walkthrough several times

I bought it for my PS2 months ago...have not had the chance to play it yet but sounds like it will kick my ass. I did replay MDK1 a while back though, even got the soundtrack for that game

on a different note...Mario Galaxy 2 still is awesome. Already loved the first one but this one seems to be even better.

Got the new Medal of Honor beta...and it's definitely a beta.

I had to get it for PS3, because for an unexplained reason they pushed the 360 version back however long (they say a week)

It's buggy, lacking polish and actually pretty good. It's frozen up on me about 3 times, twice during gameplay and once at a loading screen. It actually reminds me more of Bad Company 2's multiplayer(I wonder why...) mixed with MW2 style modes. I definitely see potential for it being a competitor to MW2, but I really hope they make the game look much better in the end. Granted it's only June and the game doesnt release until October.

hey Leechy, you sexy beast...check it http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/110/1100843p1.html
that sounds promising! I wanna wait for some more reviews first though because IGN sometimes reviews games I ended up not liking very positively and games I loved negatively. So we will have to see. I do think it will get generally favorable reviews though.

now a bit of ranting....the RDR co-op missions are not really playable right now. At least they aren't for me and the people in my friends list. I couldn't even get inside free roam today. And the 2 co-op games I was able to join were a mess. In the first game there were no enemies, they just didn't show up, in the second game me and the guys I played with were completely invisible to one another and again there were no enemies. Extremely odd. Talked to a guy and he said he had the same problems and also couldn't enter free roam anymore. Oh well, hopefully that'll be fixed soon.

That doth sound tasty... (Not half as tasty as you Lars, but then few things are..) Storyline length is slightly disappointing, in my opinion... But still. I'm holding out too to see what others say and am going to try pick it up cheap in a few weeks time if it's still tickling mah fancy. :D

The online multiplayer crap is a bit of a mess, to be honest. I still haven't managed to get it to work properly since I bought the game...
