I began replaying Alan Wake on the Nightmare difficulty, and it is no joke. This game understands true survival horror. The only thing that would make it even more true to the genre would be med kits in place of regenerating health.

It looks amazing and is probably the most beautiful and graphically most impressive open world game as of yet. Gameplay is satisfying, characters are cool, the Western setting is wonderful...I'm digging it VERY much. GTA4 never really grabbed me. I guess I'm not a fan of the GTA world. RDR is much more my cup of tea, loving it!

Have you played Just Cause 2?

Forgive me for being a Zelda nut, but that's exactly the type of creature I could see him being in Ocarina of Time.

just the demo....graphically it is pretty cool but I didn't like the aiming mechanics too much. And the enemy AI seemed pretty retarded. I might pick it up when it's cheaper or maybe a used copy of it because it does look pretty cool.

I've watched a little of RDR on PS3 and I have to say, Just Cause 2 still has the most beautiful game world I've seen. The draw distance is unreal, and the fact that it doesnt look like cheaply painted backgrounds is even better.

For landscape I dunno if anything will ever top Just Cause 2, but the gameplay absolutely ruins that game. The shooting, driving, voice acting, enemies... All totally atrocious. Even a world as glorious as the one in Just Cause 2 couldn't save that game.

Can't wait to get my mits on Red Dead Redemption... Just a few more days to wait.

I have to agree on the demerits to the game. Luckily the flying mechanics are pretty solid, and it's definitely an ideal way to move around the game due to it's sheer size. I almost wish they put an option to turn off voices in cutscenes, it would have made the game batter...

finished 100% of Red Dead Redemption...such an awesome game! I kind of think I'll play through it again before I play the rest of Alan Wake which is a great game too but I am still more in the mood for a bit of Western fun! :D

Red Dead Redemption is painfully good. It is miles and miles and miles more fun than GTA IV ever was... RockStar really got this spot on.

It is the perfect start to what should be an awesome summer... Naughty Bear, Transformers War for Cybertron, Dead Rising II and Mafia II all before summers end. Then hopefully there'll also be New Vegas, Agent and Arkham Asylum II before the year ends... What a bank account buggering year! :D
