Sure the grappling hook was great fun and the environment was as impressively huge as it was detailed, but I found the shooting and alarm mechanics to be fairly bloody irritating... I may trade in Heavy Rain for it when I'm finished it but I'm sort of undecided on it.

agreed....aiming just felt awful. The demo looked great but the aiming problems kind of killed the demo for me :(

The game has an auto targeting system that pretty much compensates for that. The only time I ever zoom to shoot now is with the sniper rifle.

Overall I think it's a solid game. If you enjoy open world games with a fair amount to do and can get past the absolutely abysmal voice work/script I'd say it's worth a bit of your time. I've just had too much fun screwing around in the game to even bother with many of the missions so far.

Also with JC2, pick the right difficulty. Hardcore is epically tough, given the scarcity of ammo. Normal feels about right. Yes, the voice acting is poor but more so-bad-it's-funny. Having fun finding stuff, found Wilson from Castaway and the island from Lost, still looking for the "top of the world" achi

Currently loving Heavy Rain. It basically is just an interactive movie... Shame it has utterly no replay value but hey, it's really good now at least!

God of War 3 is awesome. Plain and simple. I did order the God of War collection for PS3 but I caved and played God of War 3 for several hours anyways. Fuckin epic!

Report back with what you think of Heavy Rain, Lars. You should be finished it by tomorrow night anyway! It was abysmally short... Great story overshadowed the annoying controls but there was no redeeming feature to compensate for the length... Or the lack of alternate killers therefore nullifying any sort of replay value. I know I harked on about that already but it really was very very annoying. It'd be nice to have had a few different ways it could have played out depending on actions/character deaths, etc.

I ordered it from Amazon and apparently they don't have any copies in stock and it probably will take 1 - 3 weeks before I get it. Gives me lots of time to play the God of War games :D

finished God of War 3...absolutely amazing game. I thought I might not feel like playing it again but the scale of everything and the epic battles just made me start it all over again. The final battle and ending are both great. I hope that Sony will put the full ending up for download on PSN oneday. If the ending in the current game is already that cool, the actual ending that Sony wanted but didn't have enough time for must be awesome!

Trials HD is frustrating the hell out of me. having trouble with the "medium" tracks, let alone the "hard" or "extreme"

I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed II, and it must be said, this mops the floor with the first one. Proper story and more diversity plus a nicer setting with quick travel abilities and... OMG... A CHARACTER THAT KNOWS HOW TO SWIM. :D

I bet if they didn't have Venice as a city he wouldn't be able to swim. :P

I ordered my own Bad Company 2.
I am so excited, I just can't hide it!
It will be just few more days before I can get my hands on it, but then it will be the weekend with just me and B.C. ..

I used to game a lot, but real life now gets in the way. lol

Only thing I play consistently right now is Lord of the Rings online, which I have played for almost 3 years now. Still working on Dragon Age. The new God of War looks awesome, and I am dying to play it.
