I'd personally give both of them ultimatums. It's not fair to you that their grudge is holding you back from seeing an awesome concert. Not sure if you resolved the issue yet since I didn't read the entire thread. (Procrastinating procrastination here.)

I'm totally jealous of you though. Devin Townsend is just my absolute favorite and BTBAM is fucking awesome in their own respect. I want to go so badly since they're coming to Montreal. It's a long ass drive but it'd be worth it! Unfortunately I have exams starting the day before the show so I can't attend.

Yeah that's pretty much what i did to dave. I explained to him maybe an hour ago in my drunken babble that I want both of them to come. It kind of is a long back story behind the whole beef, has to do with mooching, ducking out on beer tabs and not fessing up to stuff. I think at the end of the day if i can get Jim to tolerate dave we'll at least be ok...for the show...afterwards...i dunno.

nah all joking aside, it was a metal band and heroine fucked it all up. Long story, I can't even speak to 2 of the guys in the band anymore.

Damn those courageous girls. It's all very well them rescuing babies from precipices and foiling bomb plots, but do they ever stop to count the cost of the metal bands they fuck up along the way? They do not. Curse you Wonder Woman! A pox on your house Florence Nightingale!

The one guy from the band that was the heroine addict that fucked everything up has gotten worse, apparently flipped his mom's car and is still using. So obviously disbanding and disconnecting myself from him on the drummer was a good thing. The drummer was a total toobox.

As a guy that's been in this kind of situation from the other side, I think the two friends that don't get on should just suck it up.

A couple of months ago, a mutual friend invited me, and the guy that was going to be my best man at my wedding (until lots of drama happened that I won't get into) out for a drink. I went, was entirely civil, and everyone had a great night. I'm of the opinion that guys just get on with things in this kind of situation, instead of whining about it like a teenage girl. At the end of the day, if a good mate invites me to something, I'm going to go and have a good time regardless of who else is there.
